What began as a small start-up in the 1990s evolved into something extraordinary, creating benchmarks one after the other and entertaining fans for multiple generations. The immense popularity of Rockstar Games and its capability as a video-game studio quickly came to light in the early 2000s, when the company launched the third iteration of its Grand Theft Auto series, known as GTA III.
GTA III had set the benchmark as to what a 3D open-world, action-adventure game should look like, and the studio followed with successive blockbusters such as GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. After a small stint with GTA spin-off titles on handheld consoles such as the PSP (PlayStation Portable) and the Nintendo DS, Rockstar Games laid out the big guns with their 2008 smash hit, Grand Theft Auto IV. GTA IV was a revolutionary entry – not only for its graphics and gameplay – but also for its darker and convoluted story line. Naturally, people were excited to see what the studio could do with the next iteration, and boy did they deliver. Grand Theft Auto V was initially launched on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, shattering all sales records and earning $1 billion in its first three days. The three-protagonist-led story line for the game was a radical addition, and its online multiplayer, GTA Online, is still played to this day.
While GTA 5 may be the second-best-selling video game of all time, that surely does not discount it from criticism. Fans have been wanting a new GTA game for the longest time, and GTA Online still suffers from blatant cheaters roaming freely. If you play GTA 5 on a regular basis and want to share your feedback with the developers, then our insightful guide can be of help

How to Get Out of Bans and Suspensions
Rockstar Games states that any in-game ban or suspension will restrict your access to the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto V only, which is Grand Theft Auto Online. That means you can still play the game in single-player mode.
There are several factors for which your GTA Online account can be banned or suspended, such as manipulating protected game data and/or code, exploiting and/or abusing game mechanics, interfering with the gameplay experience of other players, and so on. Such actions may lead you to receive either a temporary restriction from accessing the game or a permanent one, based on the severity of the infraction.
Once you receive a suspension or ban, your character(s) in GTA Online, along with any associated progress, will be reset. And you will be able to access the game again once the ban/suspension phase expires. So, if you want to appeal a ban or suspension that has been mistakenly provided, you can do so via the below-mentioned steps.
- First, head over to the official website.
- On the landing page, select ‘Account Appeals > Regarding My Account’ and then select ‘Bans & Suspensions’. After that select the platform on which you were banned/suspended and then you will be asked to sign in to your Rockstar Games account.
- Once logged in, submit your appeal properly by providing all the necessary information and evidence, and after that, wait for an official response from the company’s customer support.
How to Manage Payment Options
Grand Theft Auto Online has an in-game currency, known as ‘Shark Cards’, that allows you to immediately increase your in-game GTA$ balance, which can then be used to purchase in-game items such as weapons, vehicles, clothes, etc.
Based on the platform you are using, you can modify your payment method by following the suggested steps below.

- After that, on the payment confirmation page, you will have the option to add a new payment method or edit/remove any previously saved payment method.
Based on your actions, the associated transaction will be completed simultaneously. Also, remember that there are no refunds for Shark Cards.
