Know the Steps to Claim Points Online
For the uninitiated, it takes around five business days after your check-out for your rewards points to be credited to your IHG One Rewards account. If your points do not get credited even after five business days, you can file a missing points claim. Additionally, promotional bonus points require up to six weeks to be posted in your rewards account. You can also claim missing bonus points if the points are not credited within six weeks.

Overview of the Program
As was already described, IHG One Rewards is a loyalty programme where members can earn points based on bookings (qualifying nights or stays) or purchases made through the official IHG website or IHG One Rewards App. The obtained points can later be redeemed for free nights, shopping, travel, and other relevant benefits.
A qualifying “night” or “stay” is defined by a booking that is made by paying qualifying room rates, where a “night” is denoted by a single-night booking and a “stay” is denoted by several consecutive-night bookings. On the other hand, purchases include eligible charges charged during the member’s “night or stay,” such as food and beverage, laundry, telephone service, etc.
With IHG One Rewards, you will have the option to earn rewards on any day of the week or month with special member rates and offers. Additionally, you also get access to free WiFi at any IHG hotel or resort that you book, along with late check-out facilities.
When a customer signs up for IHG One Rewards while staying at an IHG property, he or she will earn 1,000 points for that qualifying stay. For subsequent stays, members will earn 10 points for every $1 spent (or equivalent local currency). New members start off their journey with the “Club Member” tier and have the chance to upgrade their tiers based on the bookings made in a single financial year.
