Zumiez is a specialty clothing company that has found a niche among skateboarders in the United States. The company made its debut in 1978 in Seattle. Founded by Gary Haakenson and Tom Campion, Zumiez started with a single store location at Northgate Mall and was then known as “Above the Belt”.
