I paid for an item in Dundrum shopping centre when ordering. I received no confirmation email, probably because it was out of stock. I did not receive order. After some weeks I discussed on chat line and was told amount would be refunded to my account. I’ve received no refund. The chat lines are awful . They always finish chat before problem is solved. Awful customer service.
During my recent visit to Paris I happened to buy some perfumes from the Zara store on Rue de Rivoli. I bought some as gifts so I did not open any until I came back to Toronto. One of the bottles, which was in a sealed box, was half empty. I have been trying to contact Zara France by phone, email and their contact page and all I am getting is the run around. I keep getting passed on to someone else or some other department.
I could not believe the disorganization and lack of customer care. To be one of the better store brands I was expecting that I would contact them, send them the pictures and they would tell me how to return the bottle and compensate me. But sadly that did not happen. They never took the time to reply to my Instagram message.
In addition to not refunding the money when you return the item online or cancel the order , I’m really tired of either chasing my orders or
Refunds on Zara online !!
I have written multiple emails with no response in regards to my delayed orders
In addition there’s no number of a channel to complain about the poor customer service on both the live chat and the emails .
Online shopping should be a pleasant easy and rapid service however for Zara it’s the opposite while it’s so simple to place an order it’s a hassle and a struggle to receive it on time or to even get refunded when you cancel or return your order ?
Do NOT buy from Zara online. I bought an item- had to return it- have my receipt from drop off point- but Zara will not refund me after numerous phone calls/ texts. Do they refund anybody? What action can we take?
I was given a pair of trousers from Zara as a birthday present and need to exchange the size, the item is in perfect conditions with all the tags and I have the receipt however I was not able to bring to a store because of the lockdown, I was not able to return the item online because the purchase was made as a guest not a user. I attempted to contact Zara several times and no response/ solution. I was even told yesterday by a customer service advisor on the phone that he is not there to resolve my problems. I just want to be able to exchange the pair of trousers for another one that will fit me. Can someone please help me?!
It makes sense to see all the complains here, at least I know the quality and poor customer service is not isolated case, it is widespread in this company. I used to think Zara as a good big brand with reliable standard in clothings quality. But my recent experience has changed my view about the brand. The baby clothing that I bought had colourfastness and piling issue. Customer service could not care less about investigating quality of product, they are more concerned about repeating their policy about not being able to refund or exchange. Another time I went to the store with a fussy baby and a stroller, I asked for help with the stroller down the escalator inside the shop, only to be coldly rejected by a shopkeeper with “Sorry, I cannot help, I am the only person on the floor” and she walked away. There was not even sympathy or attempt to find a solution together. I will never buy from this brand again.
Dear Sir,
I visited and bought items from your Zara, Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu.
I felt the experience of having been to your store was less than satisfactory.
I had to buy a damaged item because there were no other items. The cashier was lax in her customer service skills.
I had asked for a garment bag & was told, garment bags are for $100.00 items only & I wasn’t a customer who could have one even though my items (2) = $104.00.
The cashier then without folding or turning an item right side out placed in a bag.
I called the state’s customer service line to “thank you for your feedback, we will use it for training purposes. I did not call so I could assist Zara ‘s training department. I was calling for a reason why I should shop @ Zara again.
I would shop @ the Madrid store and have loved Zara for years.
Please place an emphasis on Customer Service, otherwise, consumers leave the store thinking Zara is only interested in the money, and or never return to Zara.
I expect a response to my email.

Dear Sir,
The sleeveless jacket that I bought from you dyed my scarf, bag and wrist watch ,all from Burberry. It happened when I wore the jacket for the first time within few hours.
When I made the complaint to your Istanbul office, where I live, they claimed this risk had been mentioned on the label so they took no responsibility . I think it is non sense because it did not dye them while washing or similar. Putting this warning on the label is like saying that the breaks may not work when you buy a car. It warns you but it does not take your responsability away. So I expect you to take this complaint seriously and do the needful to compensate my loss. Unfortunately I could not get this approach from your Turkey office. This means that I have to apply to local tribunal for the compensation. In case you need, we can provide all related invoices for the purchases that we made. Awaiting for your kind reply
best regards

I have been shopping at Zara for the past 20 years, back when I lived in Europe and now in Sydney. Although your clothing are lovely, the quality is not there. I do understand due to the prices you charge. However my biggest pet hate at Zara are the shoes. Why can’t you make shoes that are equally comfortable for all types of feet? I went yesterday and just loved a nice black pair and although the size was correct, I could barely stand up to check the look. So tight! I went to check others styles and again is the same problem, the styles are all made for narrow feet. This is not the first time and I do remember having the same issue when I lived in Paris, trying to get a pair of shoes that would not squeeze my feet to death. You would definitely sell more shoes if the width were more democratic.
Will not be shopping online again – returned an item in March but have not received a refund even though I had a confirmation email to say it had been received at the other end. Appalling that there is no contact email for customer service. No response using their ‘online form’. Zara, you need to sort this out.
Hello Zara
I am writing to you regarding the attached Gift Card i purchased in December.
I am extremely upset, disappointed and very unhappy about the service i received or should i say, “did not receive” regarding the gift card i organised with you. I live in USA and i purchased this Gift Card for my Niece who lives in Ireland. The Gift Card was for her to buy her baby her coat as a Christmas gift from me.
I explained all of this on the phone with Zara in Cork, Ireland, and they assured me that everything was clear and that all of this was not a problem at all. All my Niece had to do was call in to any Zara Store, show her email with the attached Gift Card and she would be all set.
My Niece lives about 40 miles to here nearest Zara so she tried to use it on line to purchase but it wouldn’t accept it. She then phoned the Zara store in Cork City, Ireland, and explained to the staff the above,
I bought it on line
emailed it to her
couldnt use it on line etc…
They apologised and assured her that she could call into the Zara store and use the emailed gift card, Again to our total disappointment she was refused to be allowed to use the gift card. Please bear in mind that she had organised a child minder and travel arrangements for that day to go to the store and make the purchase that she was guaranteed over the phone, would certainly not be a problem.
They insisted that the only person allowed to spend this Gift Card was me, the person who purchased it.
They needed me in the store, produce ID and pick it up and then give it to my Niece to make her purchases. We actually cannot believe this, seriously???!!
I have shopped in Zara ever since they first arrived in Ireland, i shop here in Zara in the USA since i moved here and love your lines, I have always had a pleasant experience with my Zara shopping but i have to say i am so so annoyed and disappointed with this incident and the embarrassment for my Niece and I.
I have phoned, emailed, chatted on line with you, tried calling the uk customer service! You provided me with a Case Number and an order number (BY EMAIL, with “do not reply to this email) and told me call the number below but THERE WAS NO NUMBER BELOW!!!
So it’s now nearly April and this is going on since December, SERIOUSLY……!
Please come back to me ASAP with an explanation or an alternative to my complaint.

Hi,
I bought a pair of ladies suit from Zara, Phoenix, Mumbai on 29th January. Its not the first time I am shopping from this brand but definitely not happy this time.
On my second day of wearing the suit torn off from the inner side of the shoulder blades. And even the leg areas were not equally proportionate. I am a crew and I hardly am at the same city but managed to go to their store on the 23 rd February. I was asked to contact their customer care in India but it seems of no help. They would tell me We will get back to you as we are investigating else they were writing to me saying we will get back to you in 2 working days that would go for another 10 days. I woudn’t even had returned if I would have worn it for long but 2 day for a product. I am sorry im not that rich. You seriously have to provide with a direct official email to your customers or atleast a team who really looks into it.
My daughter purchased a linen jacket from you which literally fell apart… she asked me to fix it and I told her an impossible task and to rather scrap. Anyway I through it with my sewing fabrics and only recently found it again. I realised how upset she was at the time so I decided I would surprise her with a dedicated repair. I opened the lining and was horrified to see how disgracefully this garment was produced and finished ‘what the eyes dont see’. I have never seen anything so shocking. My family had large factories at one time and I understand production lines etc. If this jacket is an indication of your production than people need to be warned that what they purchase from you will in deed fall apart. I await your response prior to my pasting your finishes with your label on Facebook. Thank you, Barbara
I purchased two cotton mattresses from a branch of Zara Mall of Arabia in Cairo on 23 January 2018 during the discount period. After I used one of them, I washed it and was surprised that the size of the mattress had changed and became shorter. I decided not to use the other mattress for fear of the same situation. I went to the branch again in 1 march 2018 and I asked for the manager of the branch who told me that he would return to the administration in Lebanon. When I asked him why the worker who sold me the mattresses did not tell me that the size would change, he did not answer convincingly. Then I had a call on March 6, 2018 of 00201000004089. It is an Egyptian number and the related person told me that she was speaking to me from Lebanon..there is nothing that can be done in the damaged mattress and that I can change the other mattress with something else from the branch according to the price of the mattress today, which has become 256 pounds while I bought it for 1200 pounds. Just tell the concerned consumer protection agencies here in Cairo.
Returning goods seems to be a returning problem for Zara. I bought two scarves 19.11.17 online as gifts for my friend’s daughters, well before Christmas I know, but I was going abroad on the 16.12.17 and not returning until the 6.1.18. One daughter did not like the scarf and wanted to exchange it. This was not possible as she had no proof of purchase and by the time she did, according to Zara, it was too late. She did not want money back. She would have bought something else that she liked. This is a strange attitude.
After trying in vain to get my money back from Zara Poland for the return of an item on 5 December (order 437187690)
I am trying to reach the head office to pay attention to this case. Otherwise there have been no problems with my orders in December.
Hi,
I am from Italy and I always loved shopping with Zara there as well as I do here too, always had good experience but today’s experience was worst, at Garden City, WA, up in the men’s sections customer attendants were so helpful and friendly but when we came to the kids section the female customer attendant was so unfriendly seems like rushing to finish the day as it was almost end of the day, despite of that I had couple of things from kids section (I want to buy more from there). Then downstairs when I get to the counter to pay for my stuff about $400, the female staff just folded my suit and put it in a paper bag, I asked for a bigger bag but she offered me to get that doubled. I thought it should be ok And I paid and l about to leave the shop but I went back to ask for the proper bag for the suit I bought as I did not want to pay more for ironing for no reason, but she had thrown the suit as it is, just folded in that bag, then I packed that properly in front of her in the bag.
Definitely not happy at all, my wife love shopping at Zara she was very disappointed by the service we received today.
I purchased a few tops on the 6th of December 2017 to the total value over $200. I wore one of the tops on NYE and washed it by hand and in cold water as per instruction. I had put it away in my wardrobe and did not notice that it had shrunk until I went to wear again on the 21st January.
Unfortunately I did not have my receipt, however, I was able to retrieve the date purchased from my credit card statement. I returned it back to the Doncaster store and provided them with the date. They were able to confirm from their computer that the top was sold on that date and offered me a voucher as the top is no longer available. I was very disappointed when the consultant advised me that the top had been on sale for $39.00 and thats all they could offer me. I find it very hard to believe that they were able to retrieve the item sold but couldn’t confirm that the item was sold at full price of $79.00. Surely they were able to find out when the item was at full price and when it went on sale.
Very dissatisfied as I only wore the top once and lost $40.00.
I would appreciate if you can look into this matter further.
Please let me know if you would like me to provide you with any more information.
Thank you
Dear all,
I’d like to ask you if it is possible to return an item bought from one country to another.
I received a present which is a jacket but it is too small from me and I’d like to change it.The problem is that it has been purchased in Tallin, Estonia and I live in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Could you advice me it there are any options for me to exchange the jacket? The original labels are still on it.
Many thanks in advance
Kind Regards,
Aleksandra
I bought a pair of trousers at the store in New Zealand and upon returning to Australia I wore the trousers for the first time and they have split up the inside seam of the leg. They are a very loose fit so pressure on the seams is not the cause. I cannot find New Zealand on Zara’s international listing on the website, or Australia for that matter and there was no email to complain to. This is really not good enough! I would love someone to contact me to sort this out
Hi
I love shopping in your store and have been to a few in different countries.
Your new store in Romania shopping centre in RIMINI is fabulous, but the last twice I have shopped there the queue to pay has been very busy. There are seven tills on the ladies section alone yet only one assistant serving the wait was at least 25 minutes, No apologie was made no effort to get more assistants to serve. Could you please explain why you go to the expense to install such expensive systems then not make use of them.
Myself and other customers were upset at the lack of customer service, other assistants were in the store chatting and at one point a senior member of staff spoke to the cashier but just walked away and did nothing to alleviate the situation.I am not impressed with the lack of customer focus, surely your purpose is to get as much money in the tills as possible, rant over.
I’d like to submit a complaint with the lack of help I received from your Pacific Fair Outlet at the Gold Coast. I have shopped in New York, Singapore, Sydney, Robina, Garden City and Pacific Fair, each time buying one or more items from the shops listed. I bought a few items from Pacific Fair. On wearing the tights, they came undone on 2 seams. I took them back to Pacific Fair, not to get a refund, as I sew and could fix them, but as the coming undone seams were extensive, thought that showing your customer service that the quality control had overlooked. The girl in charge, was completely disinterested, and said she needed a date that she could look up, despite having Zara Basics written on label. As I said I’m not wanting a refund, but to bring your attention to goods being sold that were quite faulty. Even a little sympathy or interest would have sufficed, but total disregard, shows complete disinterest in customers. I will still shop at Zara as I love the clothing, but am so annoyed at people who are employed that represent a company or individual and really show complete disinterest.
Kind Regards
Lynne McQueen
Hi Lynne, can you please tell me did you get a resolution from Zara yet? I have an ongoing issue with them and can’t get a response or a contact with them, i am soo annoyed with Zara at this stage, i have shopped with them for years but their non existant customer service and bad quality representation have really put me off. I’m just wondering if all the people on this board are still waiting for Zara to respond and resolve their responsibilities?
Thank you
Louise
I bought a pair of jeans in your playa flamenco store last Monday and whilst they didn’t have my size, I was told that they would be in the store in 2 working days. I called into the store on Wed and they hadn’t arrived, and went back again on Thurs and they still hadn’t arrived. As I was leaving that day to return to the UK I said I no longer wanted them and asked to get my money back, the staff told me that was not company policy and so I had to leave the country without my money.
How come if you promise clothes in 2 days and after 3, when they haven’t arrived can you refuse to refund the money? If I had have known it may be longer, I would not have bought them but was particularly told 2 days. The girls in the store were so dismissive, it was very unprofessional.
I would seriously like to know your official line on as this as to refuse to refund money when goods have failed to arrive on time I would believe to be against the law.
Low quality clothing, and if there’s a defect, even in the first week of owning it, they will not exchange.
Definitely suggested that you don’t shop there.
