About Xbox

If you love gaming, you love Xbox. This video gaming brand introduced by Microsoft has become one of the most recognised names globally. The brand is an amalgamation of five consoles, applications, streaming services, online service of Xbox Live, and Xbox Game Studios that is the developmental arm of Xbox. The original Xbox console was launched in 2001 in the United States. The brand has changed considerably since its launch. With more exclusives and increased value for consumers, the brand is now striving to be reimagined again with its Xbox Series X. Xbox has more of a storied history. Xbox started as a simple project but went on to become one of the most profitable gaming brands. Microsoft got into developing its gaming console back in 1998, when Seamus Blackley, Kevin Bachus, Ted Hase and Otto Berkes pitched their idea of console successfully to Bill Gates. The console was originally dubbed as DirectX Box, and it was intended to be built like OC. The system was supposed to run on Windows 2000, which made it easy for the software developers to work around the architecture. To pull back the curtain and gather the public attention, the company decided to go for a catchy name. The name abbreviated as ‘Xbox” did not get the marketing team much excited, but the name did its job.

The journey for Xbox had just started, and in 2005, Microsoft revealed the Xbox 360. The production for Xbox 360 stopped by the end of the same year but not before Microsoft sold 24 million units of the console. Xbox 360 did get some makeovers such as improved motion and voice control peripheral, a thinner body, additional USB port, built-in Wi-Fi, and upgraded internal specs. The improved Xbox 360 did hit the shelves in 2010. In May 2013, Microsoft revealed the Xbox One, which directly took on PlayStation 4. Xbox has not disappointed its fans. The powerful Xbox X series, Next-gen Xbox Series S, packed everything that a gamer loves.

The official Microsoft website keeps the Xbox fans informed about new releases. All the consoles, games and other devices are available on the site, and customers can make a purchase from there. A very recent addition to the Xbox site is the Xbox Gear Shop which is a fan paradise. The collection includes apparel, drinkware, and other collectables. So if you are a fan and you want a console, a game, or just a t-shirt, this website is your one-stop-shop. Add anything you want into your cart, make payment and voila! Xbox comes knocking. You can contact the customer service for queries on subscriptions, activation, game launches, cancellation or others.
