About Warwick Castle
Warwick Castle is a large castle in Warwickshire, England. Located near the town of Warwick, the medieval castle was once home of the Earls of Warwick. The original wooden motte-and-bailey castle was built by William the Conqueror in 1068. It was rebuilt in stone in the 12th century, during the reign of King Henry II. The castle, currently owned by Merlin Entertainments, is one of the most visited attractions in the UK.
Visitors to the castle will find archery displays, jesters and the world’s biggest siege machine. Some of the top attractions include Horrible Histories Maze, Time Tower, The Castle Dungeon, The Mighty Trebuchet, Princess Tower, Kingmaker and the Royal Weekend Party. Some of the towers you will find here include Caesar’s Tower, Guy’s Tower, Bear & Clarence Towers and The Gaol. There are also a number of playgrounds and gardens to be enjoyed. Plus there are daily shows and events held. You can see the schedule on the website.
