About Vadodara Junction
Vadodara Junction is a major railway station serving travellers to and from Vadodara, Gujarat. Formerly called Baroda City Junction, the railway station is said to have opened in the year 1861. It is one of the ten busiest railway stations in the country, part of Western Railways and Vadodara railway division. The station boasts of 7 platforms and 9 tracks, with the major lines consisting of Ahmedabad-Vadodara, New Delhi–Mumbai and Vadodara-Chhota Udaipur. With station code BRC, Vadodara Junction has close to 170 trains starting or passing through the station daily.
