The entrance fee charged for Universal Studios Singapore is horrendous. The entire operation is a money making effort with no value to justify the high entrance fee. Two and a half hour wait for each ride! Extremely frustrating for kids. A dreadful experience which marred our trip to Singapore.
Myself and my fiance visited the park today as part of our engagement celebrations. We we were very disappointed at the lack of rides that were open or ‘experiencing technical difficulties’. Due to this, the other rides has ridiculous queues and the staff were very unhelpful. A couple of rides we queued for had difficulties whilst we were queuing, meaning we queued for an hour and then the ride closed until the problem was retified (rapids advenutre ride). We then had to queue for over an hour to buy very overpriced lunch! Not the day we were hoping for. I would expect a full refund for this awful experience!
Coming to USS often as a season pass holder. Today 3/9/22 at 8pm is my worst experience. I queued more then 60min for a quick bite. All outlets are simply short of staffs and the food is insufficient. Very disappointed with the service level on a Saturday night. The staffs are not trained with crowd management and their transaction rate are too slow compared to the high standard that I thought they should have.
We visited Universal Studios Singapore 30th June 2022. We are a family of 4, visited the park 5 times previous and today we leave the park extremely disappointed. There are so many rides, restaurants and shows not available or running alternatively…supposedly due to Covid! Reduced opening hours, less attractions, poor maintenance rides and toilets. A sad day considering 4 express passes weren’t worth the extra cost…we won’t be back for sometime. How long can Covid be an excuse!!
I visited the park on the 18th March with my husband and 3 kids from Sydney, Australia. We were super excited and got tickets and the express passes to make the most of the day. I have to say i was left feeling a little underwhelmed and disappointed. Lots of the attractions were closed…Treasure Hunter, Magic Potion Spin, Amber Rock Climb, Shreks 4-D adventure and Waterworld to name a few… Also the queues to get food were insanely long. We waited about 30mins to get an indoor (air conditioned) table at Mel’s Diner, then once inside I waited a further 15mins to place an order. All other food outlets appeared to be just as bad, which tells me they need more options so the crowds can get food without the excessive wait-time. Kids are miserable when they are hungry. The express pass was good for the most part. We saved a lot of time using them. However when we tried to use them on Dino-saurin’, there was no staff monitoring the queue at that ride. The crowd had taken both lines (express and normal) and it was clearly a free for all with no priority given to express pass holders. Lastly was the long queue to simply obtain a drink. Another long wait of up to 25mins, with only 1 staff member selling drinks at the carts around the park. It was an expensive day out. $650 for tickets and passes, $100 for lunch of burgers and fries for 5, and at least $150 for drinks and a few souvenirs (photos and magnets).
I would have appreciated a discount with the amount of rides not operating and the wait-time spent in queues not really that enjoyable.
We went for a trip on Nov 9. When looking for the entrance of “revenge of the mummy ride”, I didn’t notice there was a photo-taking area where didn’t have any sign or rails, and I walked one step into the camera maybe. A female staff who was using her phone taking the photos screamed madly to stop me immediately. Even around the noisy, her voice was so loud that made my ear hurt. I could have shouted back, but instead, I apologized and turned around quickly. I didn’t want to waste any time on it. But that made me very upset. Maybe, she thought she had been the servant of the Egyptian queen for too long so she had the right to shout to people at her will? I hope not that stupid.
The facility is good. However, the experience is ruined by those undertrained staff.

I visited Jurassic Park adventures twice.
Each time, there were technical difficulty to operate full service. One time, the adventure was interrupted during ride after a long wait in the long queue due to technical malfunction. Second time again, the service was interrupted due to the same reason.
I came to Universal studio in different years. Please ensure your service run smooth during peak season. We paid a lot not for disapppointment.
I visited Universal studios Sentosa on the 23 rd of May. We were a family of 7 with 2 seniors 3 Adults and 2 children. The studio was wonderful except that we came across Rude Unhelpful and Obnoxious staff who were assisting customers at the start of the rides. Wanted to bring this to the Managements notice. They need to be trained to assist and help provide information to the visitors perhaps they need more training in the customer care area.
