About Udaan
Udaan is an Indian government scheme launched targeting the youth in Jammu Kashmir, to provide workforce development opportunities and skills to unemployed. Funded by the Ministry for Home Affairs and implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Udaan aims to reach out to 40,000 youth in J&K over a period of five years. The programme empowers youth and brings opportunities to work with corporates. It also connects companies to the talent pool available in the state.
Proposals are evaluated and approved by Proposal Approval committee of Udaan. Interested candidates register on the website and submit their application. Selected candidates will first join Udaan partner training centres. The centres will train the youth for a period of 3 to 6 months. Boarding and lodging facilities are made available to the candidates. After the training, candidates are considered for a job position.
Note that the training centres can be located in different parts of the country. If you are a new user, register on the website to find a suitable training program. You can filter a program by industry or corporate partner. The program page provides details of the location, an overview of the training, expected salary and the duration. Last date of application is provided on each page.
Only graduates and post graduate residents in the state of Jammu and Kashmir may apply for the programs. The website also has tools to search candidates or the employed candidates. For more information or queries on registration, training center locations, application status, or others, reach the Udaan support.
