I have been trying to reach out to TravelStart for 2 weeks now to change my travel date, no one is picking calls, emails not getting answered. I’m super upset, the current ticket travel date is in 2 days, I need that changed to the 10th of December. Where should I report this? I’m never ever using TravelStart again.
No response on Website, phone not being answered, WhatsApp useless, messenger useless, App useless. Trying since Sunday and no responses. I need to know about my refund options.
I booked my flight ticket from capetown to durban using my credit card but when I get to the airport they said my flight was counseled by this agent but money was already out in my bank account, I had to book for another ticket. I have been trying to call them I don’t get hold of anyone.
I had booked 2 tickets to Capetown for the wife and myself and paid for it using my credit card. All was well up until i received a mail from travelstart stating that they have only received half the payment and i should click on the pay now link on the mail. I found this to be strange as it has never happened before. Never the less i proceeded to pay for the second time. On checking my credit transaction history i noticed that they had charged twice. I got to the airport an queried wit the airline and the lady said that we were double booked and we will receive the refund from the travel agent. Travelstart wants me to pay a cancellation fee of R3000.00 and does not even answer their phones.
After my third attempt, it appears that I am not the only customer who is having trouble receiving responses from Travelstart… having dealt with your company for many years as a satisfied customer, it is very disappointing to experience this total disregard and lack of service.
Something is seriously wrong with any organization that cares so little for their customers that they cannot be bothered to acknowledge emails, pick up calls, reply to WhatsApp messages. I’ve have tried so many times to make contact via telephone, and other social media platforms to no avail. One can’t even leave comments on their Facebook page. The CEO is so busy with his Innovation Cape Town when his current business can’t even value the customers he already has. Pathetic service, can’t even get hold of customer service, total joke. Think twice before you book anything thru Travelstart!
Trying to get hold of your office in Cape Town to speak to someone in connection with our TAAG tickets issued & purchased & not used due to Covid & extended till April 2022 for travel purposes. We have had an ongoing dispute with the Airlines & Travelstart concerning the re-booking & issuing of 3 tickets already paid. After numerous unsuccessful phone attempts with the Airlines who are just are terribly inefficient to deal with & now your assistance has been unsuccessful over last 2 & half months!!
What a nightmare to contact Travelstart. I’ve been trying to get an answer and make my date change for a banked ticket. I’ve emailed, Whatsapp’d and gone onto the online portal – no answer and no ticket. Will never use you again.
I am disgusted with the service, no phone numbers work and after emailing every address from info @ , booking @ or feedback@ i have no reply. To login on to website with my request as I need to get my daughter back from the USA urgently..no reply how do these people do business or is it a South African thing. Shocked and will not use them agai.
I’m really disappointed by this agency, I’ve been using them for some time now but on the 21/01/2022 I bought the tickets from the website and made payment as well, but to my surprise when I got to the airport my ticket or reference was invalid. I couldn’t get to the agency in time because they don’t have contact details, I had to buy another ticket and my money is gone to this day.
I have send mails and tried to phone Travelstart. NO REACTION. Still waiting for them to even contact me regarding my URGENT request. We wanted to move a flight to a later date. As a urgent request you do think that the company will at least phone you or send you a mail.
No phone numbers work – disappointing
Last year, I bought two Turkish Airlines tickets for Christmas in Dubai, again via Travelstart.
The plan was to buy two more tickets as time went on.
In the end, the trips were cancelled, much to our disappointment.
Since October/November 2020, I have been asking for my refunds to no avail. It’s one excuse after another.
At one point, I even reached out to the airline which stepped in.
But as I write now, I have not been refunded – even though the Travelstart admits that the Airline has already refunded the funds to them. It’s one excuse after another.
Very, very disappointing.
I am currently very disappointed with the service I have received from Travelstart. I called at 8.30 this morning, spoke to Chantal who seemed extremely helpful and friendly and asked for an itinerary for my travel. I called back twice and was assured I would receive something by the end of the day, which I never did.
Is Travelstart completely unreliable which is my experience?

I spend 35 minutes on the phone yesterday after I was asked to hold on, only to be cut off!!
I am flying to Munich and have to book (and pay extra) for an extra lenght seat.
I managed to get my seat booked on Lufthansa and reckon the two hour flight from FRankfurt to Muncehn I will be able to handle.
However, to book an extra lenght seat between Zurich and Cape Town flying with Edelweiss Air ( LX 8084) eem to be impossible!!
I need to get an extra lenght seat. Can you please help me. I also got the REf WK84

I made a booking with Travel start on a Cemair flight . It is now two weeks and still i am unable to get a refund as the refund lines are jammed with call if the service is so good why the jam-packed refund center that can not take my call due to high volumes ? ask yourself ?

Kindly note Travelstart has no control of your air ticket if airline sub charterers in another plane/airline i.e SAA “sub” in Latam airline from SA to Sao Paulo. Suggest find travel agent to do future bookings because Travel start cant help you and “sport equipment” benefit falls away and you need to pay extra. No more Travel start for me…

Absolutely poor service received from Nthabeleng Keiso in South Africa.
She called me to confirm the details and was absolutely rude to me on the phone. Clearly there was a miscommunication on the details received and when I tried to re-confirm all the details that she has and what she needs, she cut me off on numerous occasions and said she didnt need all that information she only needs what she asked me. Absolutely disgusted at the way I was spoken to. Will definitely not be using you guys for any of my trips going forward.

Sir/Madam, I booked a return flight from Mthatha to Johannesburg on Sunday 6 May 2018 and then received TWO Ticket Numbers. This is my third inquiry to Travelstart to try and determine with which number I have to start my journey – I am supposed to depart from Mthatha at 17:30 on 13 June 2018 and to return again at 6:15 on 18 June 2018. Your explanation will be appreciated
