About Time Warner Cable Arena
Time Warner Cable Arena is an indoor stadium located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was opened in the year 2005 and is owned by the City of Charlotte. The stadium, a premier place for basketball, ice hockey, pro-wrestling and live entertainment, can accommodate up to 20,200 visitors. Constructed at a cost of $315 mn (2016 estimate), Time Warner Cable Arena is currently home to NBA’s Charlotte Hornets. Also known as ‘The Hive’ and ‘The Cable Box’, the arena will reportedly host the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.
Unique for its artwork and displays, the Time Warner Cable Arena boasts of the largest scoreboard in any indoor entertainment venue across the country. It is 38-feet-high, 36-feet-wide and its full-screen LED technology allows unlimited configuration of live and recorded videos and scores. Tickets for games and live events can be purchased at the Box Office or online via Ticketmaster. Guests seeking a VIP experience can enjoy games and live events through suites, royal boxes, terrace tables, club seats and courtside seats. The suites come with 16, 18, and 22 person capacity.
