About Heritage Village
The Heritage Village in Dubai is one of a kind museum where you can find potters, weavers and craftsmen in traditional attire and engaged in various activities. The Heritage Village was established in 1997 and is owned and managed by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority. Located close to the Diving Village, the place is open Sunday to Thursday from 8am to 10pm, and Friday and Saturday, from 3pm to 10pm.
Heritage Village is a must visit place not only to get an idea of the various professions practiced, but also to see the see tools used in ancient days and herbal treatments prescribed for various ailments. There are also shops selling traditional sweets, pottery and apparel. And you also have live folklore singing and dancing. They consist of Razfa, Ayyala, Harbeya and El-Dan. Spread across 10,000 sq mts, this popular tourist attraction is also famous for the events of UAE National Day, Dubai Shopping Festival and Flag Day. Admission is free of charge.
