ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service. I was referred to as honey! They flat out lied about my order. They don’t seem to ever know anything! Two weeks later not including the weekends still no glasses. I will NEVER EVER shop with them again.
I and my husband bought pair of glasses and frames from Target Optical Framingham, MA. Not only that we both got our tests done by their doctor. In my case, when I got my order I noticed the prescription was not right. To double-check that I booked another test from Lencrafter just after 4 days from the day I received my glasses. The result was shocking to me. The Lencrafter prescription was way lower than what Target Optical prescribed. When I went to Target Optical and told the same thing, None of them have the courtesy to apologize for their mistake. The staff was so casual and said we can replace it. In my husband’s case, He got his glasses almost after four weeks and when he went to pick them up, He noticed that they gave the wrong frame. It was not the one he selected. How can they mess up like this?? In this journey, we have experienced long wait times for pick because they were busy attending to other customers.
I place my glasses order on 11/28/2022 and called the store on 12/13/2022 to verify the status of my order and the agent told me it was shipped and I will receive a text message. Today is 12/18/2022 and still no message. My husband places his order the same date and he got his glasses on 12/06/2022. This is very unprofessional and I understand that the orders can be a few days off but not more than 2 weeks. I am not happy with the service.
Hello! I have shopped your optical location for as long as I can remember and I have concerns about charges added outside of what my copay listed. Recently I used my EyeMed insurance, covered by Home Depot, and the insurance agreement provides discounts. The receipt that was given showed what I had to pay under “copay” which was $23, I understood the requirements, but after I’m taken to the register to clear the balance, I now owe $58. I questioned this and was told that the additional charges was for the frame, NO, THE PROGRAM DISCOUNTS THE FRAMES WHICH BRINGS THE COST BELOW THE ALLOWANCE OF $150, the 20% or so is being added back to the sell, manually, and as a consumer trusting fair practices, I feel as if I was cheated.
My name is Dana Shelton. I have been a faithful customer of Target for many years. I trusted Target Optical to care for my vision needs but they have failed me more than once. I purchased prescription eyewear from your company twice. Each time the glare protective coating peels off and causes permanent damage to my lenses.
A few years ago when my first prescription lenses had this problem I brought them back into your store. I was told the lenses would be replaced free of charge due to the protection plan I purchased. I was asked a series of questions to determine what was causing the problem. They explained that it could be due to my face wash, face moisturizer or simply the products I’m using to clear the lenses ( in which I purchase from Target). I proceeded to discontinue use of my facial products.
After the first repair the coating peeled off again. When I brought the frames back in I was told my protection plan had expired and there was nothing that could be done to help with the issue because it was part of the prescription and it simply could not be removed from the lenses.
But I decided when it was time to get new glasses I would give Target another try. I told them I did not want the glare coating on my glasses because of what happened before. They insisted that I should get it as that was probably some weird mishap the first time around.
Within a number of weeks after purchasing my new glasses on 05/13/21, I begin having the same issue. I took them back in and they immediately sent off for new lenses explaining they had no ideal why this is happening to me only. They further stated that no customer has never had as many problems with their frames.
It’s not fair that I, the customer, should have to spend more money in the event that this keeps occurring. My time and my money is as valuable as any. I want new lenses without this protective coating period. I feel Target should have offered this from the very beginning. Any reputable Optometrist would have done the same. When a company has a faulty product there should be some resolve for the consumer.
I went in to target picked the frame I liked. I chose transition lenses paid for extra care warranty in case anything happened to my new glasses. Everything was processed I paid my portion not covered by my insurance and was told to expect my glasses in about 2 1/2 weeks. I waited pass 3 weeks receiving no contact from Target regarding my glasses. I called them inquiring about the status of my glasses, I was told there was a problem with my lenses fitting into my chosen frame. No one made any effort to contact me about this issue! If I had not called them I don’t believe I would have gotten any information and my money along with my insurance payment would be sitting in Target Optical Reserves! The person I spoke with requested a couple more days for the lab to find the solution for the fitment issue. My lenses are just the standard lens for people with declining vision there is nothing special about them. I have ordered glass off of the internet before for $20.00. I just wanted a better quality is the reason I chose to use Target Optical (big mistake)! I waited another week too see if “the lab” would figure things out again no one called me even though the extra time was requested by Target Optical Staff. When I spoke with them I had too refresh their memories on this unprofessional debacle of a transaction. It’s apparent they are swamped with problems but have no solutions! I realize the Optical department is owned by another corporation. Target should get rid of the Optical all together because it is smearing the company’s reputation and brand!
On July 5,2021 I made an appointment for eye exam and glasses. The exam and doctor was great. So, I proceeded to pick my glasses, which ended to be 459 dollars total. (I’m retired on a fixed income no insurance, so I saved for glasses.) I was told 7 to 10 days. After which they called and not even getting to see them they were sent back. Another 10 days passed and I called, went to pick them up, was made to stand in entrance of optical space fitted once and sent on my way. Everything seemed ok, but the transition color was wrong and lettering appeared on lenses, was noticeable to people looking at me, but was willing to deal. So, we are 20 days of purchase. On August 24, 2021 I took off my glasses and the right arm over ear broke. Called the next day and they told me there was nothing they could do, i would have to buy another frame. I don’t buy glasses every year, as my vision is getting better, but there should be something that could be done than to have to spend an additional 200 dollars on another frame. I won’t and I will never go back to a Target optical or any Target period. Just thought you ought to know what happened, and the girls that work for you are very unforgiving short and rude. Thank you for your tiime.
My EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR GIG HARBOR WASHINGTON LOCATION AND CORPORATE HEAD QUARTERS WAS HORRIBLE!
My husband and I both got an eye exam. The exam was fine. However, I was told, I need glasses, but not why I need glasses.
I believe the sales staff pushed unnecessary glasses on my husband. He only needed readers and paid almost 300.00 for them. He did not understand that he did not need to wear them at all times. Nor, was that explained to him.
At the beginning of the appointment I gave them my husband’s primary insurance and my primary insurance. I explained that to them in detail. It was not until we left our appointment that I realized they placed both of our exams and glasses expense on my insurance. We went back to get that corrected and then the sales woman stated that when I called to set the appointment up that I only gave her my insurance information. I told her that she only asked for my insurance when I made the appointment(TWO WEEKS, EARLIER). I told her that should not even matter. We both were required to fill out forms separately and provide our insurance card at the beginning of the appointment, on top of that I explained in full detail how they should be bill our insurance company. She got snooty with me afterwards. I held back my anger because of my husband.
Yesterday at work, I received several missed calls. I returned the missed phone call and stated who I was and that I missed a call. The woman told me to check my voicemail and call them back that they make too many calls in a day. I told her that I’m sure that they called to let me know that my glasses are in and if she looked my name up she could probably confirm that information. She still refused to help me. I then told her I would not be calling her back that I would be calling corporate head quarters and hung up. I understand that everyone is busy doing his or her jobs. Because I am too busy to check my voicemails. However, I am still a customer. I also, believe with today’s technology, you can look me up by name in the computer system. I am going to tell you this put the nail in the coffin and upset me very much. I am going to do what I can do to take my business elsewhere.
After checking my voicemail and confirming what i already knew, that they did in fact call to let me know my glasses were in. I got more angry and did call their corporate head quarters. Only to explain to a person with a thick accent of my experience repeatedly until he fully understood my problem. He then forwarded my call to his supervisor. Whom I repeated my experience to. He then I told me I needed to call the optical store I had the bad experience with. OMG! Are you kidding me. I don’t want to deal with them! Extremely Angry Now!
Needless to say, my husband went and picked our glasses up. They told him I would need to come back and get them fitted. He told them that they don’t want me to come back.
I won’t be going back!
What is happening with customer service in this country? What is happening with respect? They get your money (OVER 700 DOLLARS, I MIGHT ADD) and treat you like shit. Times seem to be changing for the worse. I feel sorry for my grand children and what things will be like in their future!
