About STC
Saudi Telecom Company, styled as STC, is a digital company in Saudi Arabia, providing telecommunication, internet, landline, mobile services, fintech and enterprise digital solutions. The company enjoyed a monopoly for a long time, and it ended with the grant of license to Etihad Etisalat. STC covers 81% of the consumer market when it comes to telecom subscribers, and mobile consumers help the company with 73% of its total revenue. The company registered more than 17 million subscribers in 2007, and the number has considerably increased since then. STC acquired 25% of Axis Group Malaysia and is continuously working to expand its services to other countries. Its telecommunication project with the Axis Group is valued at $3.04 billion. Saudi Telecom Company launched the largest digital operations centre in 2021. The centre was launched in the Middle East and North Africa, with a capacity that exceeds 804 terabits per second. The project is aimed to improve the cyber defence of Saudi Arabia.
The services of STC are divided into three different categories. There is Al-Jawal, which is dedicated to the mobile network, Al Hatif, dedicated to the landline network, STC0pay, which deals with digital payments and enterprise services. The company launched its service app known as Mystc app, which helps customers with a range of requests. The Mystc app is available for Android and iPhone users. The app can also be used to order a SIM card delivered at the doorstep, subscribe or unsubscribe to any STC services, get in direct contact with the assistance team and much more. The mobile service segment of STC offers postpaid connections, prepaid connection, direct billing service, and eSIM services. STC also offers entertainment packs for TV, including its famous Jawwy TV pack and on-demand content services. The Jawwy TV Home allows users to watch the most popular TV channels and select programs with pause and rewind functions. The Basic package is free for all subscribers.
