About Skout
Skout is a growing mobile-social network that allows users to meet new people and make friends. The app was introduced by Christian Wiklund and Niklas Lindstrom in 2007. The three key products offered consist of Skout, Fuse and Nixter. Available on iOS and Android, Skout is designed to let you meet new people around your neighborhood, city and people in more than 180 countries. It uses mobile device’s GPS to match with others around your area. Besides physical proximity, users can match with people through other search parameters. Further, filter profiles by age, gender and viewing habits. The app, downloaded more than 10 million times, is available in 14 languages.

New users will need to sign up for an account. You can also sign in using Facebook account. Navigate to the Meet tab to meet and chat with new people. Millions of messages are sent each day. Users can broadcast, watch other streams, browse photos and see status updates from nearby users. You will get an alert when an individual checks you out. Going premium will let you unlock more features. With premium account you can see those who Favorited your profile. The app invites users to shake their phone to activate a feature that matches you with another user who is interested in a friendly chat with stranger. The Buzz section is where you need to head if looking for photos and status updates. Send virtual gifts and notes to other users, and connect with other users when abroad.

The free version of the app is not advertisement-free. Get a Skout Premium subscription to enjoy the app ad-free, to purchase gifts, and send greetings. Users will need to purchase virtual currency Skout Points to purchase gifts for other users. There are one-month, three-month, or six-month subscriptions. Purchases of Subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment for membership can be done using major credit cards. Membership is automatically renewed. You can cancel subscription by singing into account. Skout disallows users from transmitting content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, obscene or violent.
