About Six Flags Great America
Six Flags Great America is a theme park located in Gurnee, Illinois. Established as Marriott’s Great America in the year 1976, the property became part of Six Flags after the successful purchase in 1984. The park boasts of more than 30 rides, with 14 being just roller coasters. There is also a 20-acre water park adjacent to the property.
Some of the rides include American Eagle, Bahama Mama and Bubba Tubba, BATMAN The Ride, Bouncer, Buccaneer Bay, Dare Devil Dive, Condor, Giant Drop, Goliath, Hurricane Bay, Hurricane Mountain, King Chaos, Orbit, Revolution, Roaring Rapids, Tornado, Surf Ride, Velocity, X Flight, among others. With regard to water park rides, guests can enjoy raft cruises, thrilling water slides and the half-million-gallon wave pool. Besides rides and attractions, guests also have plenty of dining and shopping options.
The park’s operating hours vary according to days. While on some days it is open from 10.30am to 5pm, other days it goes up to 7pm. Visit the website for operating hours on the day of visit. Tickets for entry can be booked online and printed at home. Guests can use Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal to book One Day tickets or Season passes. The season passes and annual membership permits unlimited visits, free ticket for friends, in-park discounts, access to exclusive events, among other benefits. I think it’s ridiculous how hard they are making it to use our fast passes . We are paying good money for them .
It’s bad enough , we can’t use them at other parks but now we have to make reservations 24 hrs in advance , at our home park. Can’t reserve 2 days in a row or the same day. Makes me want to drop my membership.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Have called dozens of times to both the direct and the lost and found numbers. Phone rings multiple times then someone picks up and then immediately hangs up. This has been going on for 2 days
