Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is a tourist attraction in Australia, particularly popular among nature lovers. Spread across 38 hectares, the park boasts of more than 50,000 plants. It has close to 8,500 different species from different corners of the world. There are close to 31 plant collections on display. They include Araucariaceae, Arid Garden, Australian Forest Walk, Bamboo Collection, Camellia Collection, California Garden, Cycad Collection, Eucalyptus, Fern Gully, Gardens House, Herb Garden, Oak Collection, Palms, Perennial Border, Southern Africa Collection, Terrestrial Orchids, Viburnum Collection, to name a few.

Opened in the year 1846, the Royal Botanic Gardens is visited by more than 1 million visitors each year. Located in the centre of Melbourne, Victoria, the park is close to other parklands such as Kings Domain, Alexandra Gardens and Queen Victoria Gardens. Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne is open from 7.30am to sunset every day. It is not hard to locate the park if you are in Melbourne as its just two kilometres away from the city centre. There is a shuttle that will take you to the spot if you are here for the first time. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 9.30am to 4.30pm daily.
