About Roman Baths
Roman Baths is a popular tourist attraction in Bath, Somerset, UK. Opened in the year 1897, the complex offers a glimpse of the bathing and socializing area of Romans that were constructed around 70AD. It had provisions for cold bath, warm bath and hot bath. Large bath complexes also housed an exercise area and swimming pool. Visitors to the Roman Baths will find the Sacred Spring, the Roman Temple, the Roman Bath House and the Museum. Visitors will also find a vast collection that contains thousands of archaeological finds from pre-Roman and Roman Britain.
Managed by the Bath & North East Somerset Council, Roman Baths is 100 miles west of London and is easily accessible by train, bus or coach. It is open from 9am to 9pm. There are a variety of tickets for entry. The Saver ticket allows visitors to access Roman Baths, Fashion Museum Bath and Victoria Art Gallery. The Season ticket gives unlimited entry for three years. Tickets can be purchased online using major credit cards. The tickets include the use of a hand held audioguide.
