Radio Flyer was founded by Antonio Pasin, in 1917. The journey for the company started when Pasin started building toy wagons and sold them mostly to local shops. The business picked up, and customers started making special requests for the wooden toy wagons. Original wooden wagons were named ‘Liberty Coasters’, and the demand for these started outpacing the production. Pasin incorporated mass production techniques, which were already existing in the auto industry. Pasin rolled out metal wagons made from stamped steel in 1927. The company was then known as Radio steel, which was later changed to Radio Flyer. Antonio’s grandson took over as CEO in 1997.
