About Musée d’Orsay
Musée d’Orsay is a popular museum in Paris, France, that opened doors in the year 1986. The national museum is located on the bank of the Seine and is housed in a grand railway station (Gare d’Orsay) constructed by architects Lucien Magne, Émile Bénard and Victor Laloux. Measuring 459 feet long and 131 feet wide, the museum boasts of more than 2000 paintings and 600 sculptures. It also holds furniture and photography of French art dating from 1848 to 1914. It houses the largest collection of impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world. Ranked third nationally, the museum welcomes more than 3 million visitors each year.
