About Gunung Mulu Park
gunung mulu park contactGunung Mulu National Park is a popular tourist destination in Malaysia. Located on the island of Borneo in Sarawak, the park is surrounded by tropical rainforest and a large number of limestone caves. The 529-sq-km park boasts of two highest peaks – Gunung Mulu and Gunung Api. Popular hiking attractions in the park are Pinnacles and Headhunters’ Trail. Other main attractions are the four show caves – Wind, Clearwater, Deer and Langs Caves. Mulu was listed as a World Heritage site in November 2000.

At the park, you will find more than 170 species of orchid and 10 species of pitcher plants, besides millions of bats and swiftlets. Hikers to the park will need to pack trekking shoes, raincoat, torchlight, water bottle, repellents, first aid kit and hat. As for tickets, you can get a 5-day pass at the office for RM15 (for locals). Price varies for children and seniors. As for transportation, there are regular shuttle services to and from the airport.

Need accommodation during your visit? Stay is offered at Park headquarters and includes breakfast. Check-in is at 2pm and checkout is at 10am. Room types include Deluxe Garden Bungalows, Standard Longhouse I, Standard Longhouse II, Rainforest Lodge and Hostel.
