Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a sports and entertainment facility located in downtown Atlanta. Opened in the year 2017, the venue regularly hosts American football, concerts and live entertainment events. Currently, it boasts a seating capacity of 71,000. It can be expanded up to 75,000 to host the Super Bowl. It is home to NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, MLS’ Atlanta United FC and NCAA’s Peach Bowl. Season tickets for Atlanta Falcons or Atlanta United games can be purchased directly through the club. You can also purchase sports and concert tickets on Ticketmaster. If planning to visit the Box Office for tickets, note that they are open only on event days. The Box Office is located near Gate 1 off Northside Drive. The stadium is centrally located and can be reached through MARTA. It is just at walking distance if alighting at Vine City or Dome/ GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center. If driving, you can pre-book parking through Park Mobile app. There are more than 20,000 parking spots available around the venue.
If visiting the stadium for the first time, note that tripods, selfie sticks and professional video recording devices are not permitted. You are however allowed to bring handheld digital or film cameras. The stadium also does not permit large bags, animals, beverages, chairs, food items, laser pointers, cans, batteries and large signs or flags. For Atlanta Falcons games and Atlanta United matches, the gates open 90 minutes prior to event start time. The gate opening times vary for other events.
