About Langkawi SkyCab
Langkawi Cable Car, also known as Langkawi SkyCab, is a popular attraction in Kedah, Malaysia. Located on the Langkawi Island, the cable car provides a great view of Pantai Cenang as it connects Teluk Burau to the peak of Gunung Machinchang. Set at 709 metres above sea level, the cable car passes through waterfalls and thick jungle. The 15-minute ride covering 2.2km costs RM 45 for single adult. It operates from 9.30am to 7pm.
Opened in the year 2002, the cable car system is managed by Panorama Langkawi Sdn. Bhd. (PLSB). There are a number of cable car rides you can try at the location. They include SkyCab, the steep cable car ride that takes visitors up 708m above sea level; the SkyDome, which takes you into space, underwater and flying; SkyRex, an immersive and thrilling experience; SkyBidge, a curved pedestrian bridge built on top of Mt. Machinchang; SkyGlide; SkyBistro; SkyTrail, to name a few.
Tickets can be purchased on the website using Visa or MasterCard. You can simply print and carry with you the Order Confirmation email. If you would like to skip the queues, book the SkyCab with Express Lane. There is also a Private and VIP cable ride. Additionally, you can book the 6D Cinemotion or the F1 Simulator. Note that you cannot cancel or request for refund after confirmation.
