Just started our stay at La Quinta and it has already started horrible thanks to the terrible service at the front desk. They seem to not fare, on their cell phone the entire time. We arrived at 2:35pm and were told we could not check in until 3pm. I asked was the room not ready and they stated that it didn’t matter, we couldn’t check in until 3pm. Between that time and 3pm it started to rain. Once in the room I called down to the front desk to ask if we had smart TV and was treated with the comment “you did not pay for smart TV”. Horrible experience.
The customer service at La Quinta at Oltorf In Austin, TX is atrocious!
On December 7, 2022, my wife and I arrived at La Quinta on Oltorf st. in Austin, TX around 5:30pm. Upon our arrival, we walked into the lobby to find that nobody was at the front desk. After a few minutes, a second party arrived behind us and shortly after, a third. Everyone was standing in the lobby wondering where the desk clerk was. After about ten minutes, a clerk named BAE walked out of a door and came to the counter. She looked at us with disgust, as if we were inconveniencing her or interrupting her day. She didn’t apologize for the wait and simply asked, “Can I help you?”
I stated that we were checking in and handed her my driver’s license and a credit card, since there was a sign at the counter that read “Credit card required at check-in.” I was already frustrated because of the long wait to be served as she asked for my last name. I told her my last name and mentioned that it was on the driver’s license. At this point, she tossed the credit card back at me and stated, “I don’t need that.” I motioned to the sign stating that a credit card was needed. Then, she asked for my last name. I was really frustrated and told her “It’s on the driver’s license. Why can’t you just read it from there?”
She got really mad and said, “ You can leave. I’m canceling your reservation. If you don’t leave, I’m calling the police.” I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said, “ I am the supervisor. There’s nobody else here right now.” She then proceeded to call the police. We waited a while for the police to arrive but they were taking too long and we had a concert to attend at 7pm.
I know that the hotel is private property and they reserve the right to refuse service but I feel that the situation did not escalate to a level where my reservation needed to be cancelled and cops called. I was never threatening and didn’t even raise my voice. It was very embarrassing, as the other two parties behind us witnessed this and one party even commented to us how unfairly we were treated.
If BAE is the supervisor at La Quinta at Oltorf in Austin, TX, then the hotel is in serious trouble or does not care about its guests. We travel regularly and always stay at La Quinta. We have never, ever experienced the type of horrible service that we experienced at the Oltorf location.
I can’t believe the Wyndham or la quinta name would their brand to be attached to Boyle of i20 in Abilene. Absolutely the worst hotel in the state. The most filthy building I have ever seen.
The man working the desk last night at Bloomington,Mn west is a very nasty person to be working. After dealing with airports, heat and walking for 18 hours, we just wanted to get to our car from the airport. After calling for at least a half-hour, he finally answered the phone. He said he was sending the shuttle and the driver will not wait, so be ready. We stood there for an hour and called him back. He then said the shuttle was there and waited 15 minutes! We did not leave as we wanted to get out of there. Then he argued with me, in a sense told us to take a hike and hung up on me! We paid to park there, stayed there because of the shuttle. We finally after wasting 2 hours took a cab for $40.00.
Stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites Panama City Beach. Would not recommend it, the water in my room does not get hot, we are taking cold showers. The TV keeps blinking to a green screen and I went to do laundry and it’s coin operated of course they have no ATM there’s no way to get changed, nobody carries cash anymore. I can’t even get the light in the laundry room to turn on, if you have kids this is not the place to stay.
We stayed at LA Quinta in Shelby Township/Utica, Michigan. We were there last night, in town for a family wedding.
We were dissatisfied with the hotel for cleanliness and noise.
But the reason I write this, my husband left his suitcoat in the closet. When we called, we were told there is no coat. The people my husband spoke to were rude and not concerned. They made my husband feel he lost his mind.
He’s talked to several people and no one knows anything.
La Quinta Lajune Dr Springfield IL ~ Quote by Manager to me “Do what you want” and hung up when I called to discuss our concerns. The staff was rude, unprofessional and completely uncaring. We requested adjoining rooms and for the three rooms to be close together. This was not provided, and we are now being told that you must go to the hotel to check in at 3 to receive adjoining rooms and luggage carts. The room was filthy. I can provide pictures, a TV did not work, and when we needed a toothbrush, we were told they were not sure if they had any and would not go back and check. We asked to speak to the manager and were told he would be there at 8am the next day. He was not there so I called back, and he told me to do what I want and hung up on me. This would be why the staff is so impolite and unprofessional.
I have always been a fan of La Quinta since I started traveling with my small dogs. I know them as very functional hotels and pet friendly. Last week I stayed at La Quinta Orlando South and was extremely disappointed with the rooms and services. The first room was dirty, phone didn’t work, TV did not work and was falling apart and the rug had burn marks all over (I requested non smoking too.). Stairs were stripped of carpet and you could easily trip. The hotel was under renovation but the booking site did not say that. Needless to say things were in disarray. I can live with that and I thought maybe I just got a bad room. So they moved me. All seemed fine till I tried to shower. No water came out of the spicket. I had to rinse in the sink. Then the iron was dead and had to be replaced. The hair dryer was ready to die too. The pet fee irked me as well as I had almost always had no pet charges at La Quinta. No offer of discount or refund was given. I have been traveling for many years on business and this hotel stay is causing me to rethink whether to use La Quinta in the future.
I have never been more dissatisfied with any accommodations in my life. The outside appearance is enough to send somebody running. From the pile of old used discarded mattresses to the decrepit building on site and unsafe construction/repairs all over as well as overflowing dumpsters near the building. The staff was unkempt and the room was a nightmare. The first room they sent us to was in the middle of a renovation so we had to be moved. The new room had previous guests items left behind in the refrigerator, the toilet was running all night long, the sheets were used and had stains, the shower curtain had mucus on it, there were chips out of the tub all over and a rubber mat covering the dilapidated bottom, the bottom of the bathroom door had so much water damage it was falling apart. The entire room was moldy with a musty odor, the walls and baseboards were filthy, the telephone was so dirty you didn’t want to touch it and don’t think about sitting in the dirty stained chairs either. I can go on and on about how disgraceful this location was. We reserved two nights and there was no way I would even consider staying a second night. There were suspicious people all over the parking lot doing who knows what during the night. Of course they didn’t bother to refund and it’s because that’s obviously the standard they have set and everything I have mentioned is acceptable to them. Obviously nobody at corporate cares and nobody inspects. If you are from corporate and you do care please reach out to me I would love to talk to you. Otherwise I’ll know you don’t value your reputation whatsoever.
It was terrible what the hotel did today with our guests Rosangela and our son. When booking through Booking.com, we included the special request informing us that, although the reservation started on 09/Apr, the check-in would be on today’s date, 10/Apr. The message was read and answered by the hotel, but the front desk employee did not honor the reservation through Booking.com. At the same time, this employee offered the reservation directly from the hotel, at a higher rate USD, i.e., a clear scam to get the company out of the operation. Lack of honesty. We did not agree with the no-show charge and asked for a refund.
Our club traveled on motorcycle from Fresno Ca to Bakersfield Ca where we had eight rooms booked for the the night. After traveling for many hours we wanted to take a shower before the nights concert but found that there was no shampoo or soap in any of the rooms and not to expect any during our stay. It’s unfathomable that your company would not provide such essential items to their hotel guest. This will weigh on our future stays in the future.
Im from the South, I stayed in the one in Oakland, California. The front desk people are rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, and condescending. The Elevator stays mostly broken, and when it’s working, its dirty, and has a jarring start and stop. The sheets make you itch and leave little bumps on your skin. The parking is a nightmare, the vending machines steal your money, and the secured doors are Always UNsecured. They charge like the Beverly Hilton and service like the Beverly Hillbillies.
We have always stayed at Laquinta hotels. The hotel in Jackson TN was disgraceful. When we went to the elevator to go to our room the ceiling tiles had water stains and part of them were missing.. The elevator floor was very sticky and dirty. The hallways were not very clean.. The carpet in our room had disgusting stained, the draws would not stay shut which they had tied with a plastic bag. The bathroom toilet seat was broken and the floor was dirty. The juice machine did not work, breakfast was very minimal. I am surprised Laquinta even has there name on this property. I called corporate Ref #4712603 and complained, I am still waiting for someone to contact me.. Avoid that hotel at all cost.
We stayed at Laquinta/Visalia. The service is terrible! Not recommended. I was charged 2x and the front desk did not take responsibility for their actions. I had to dispute it with my bank. The room was not cleaned. There was No tv control, called the front desk and there was no answer, so I end up in the laundry room trying to find the tv control! Not the best place to stay!!
I submitted a survey and at the end I said I wanted to write a review for my stay at LQ west airport, Cleveland.Oh. On the survey I went into details regarding how dirty both our room which was not swept, carpet or hard surfaces , including trash left in the hallways, terrible service and the possibility of the bathroom fixture falling, Room 323. After spending time to fill out the survey , I clicked on write a review & could not find such page. Very disappointed. I think others would use the reviews to help them decide if that is where they would like to stay for 2 nights. The only reviews on the hotel website were good ones. THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
We stayed at the La Quinta by Wyndham Sea World and I was so disgusted with the cleanliness of our room. The room was so dirty and the bathroom was gross. We had to buy blankets to sleep on and put our belongings back in the car so roaches would not get in our bags. I rented 2 rooms 220 & 221 for my family and both rooms were disgusting. We had to go get clean towels from the front desk because we had non in one of our rooms. I took pictures of the toilet and tub as they were the worst. So disappointed as this was the first time we had a bad experience staying at any La Quinta. Pictures are not accurate on the website for this hotel. I will never stay there again.
We stayed at the Hotel in El Paso, Texas. After calling several times to inform the front desk that we were in our way as we got there they sold our rooms that we had already reserved online and PAYED FOR!!! They have no respect for customers and reservations AT ALL. After about an hour and talking they get us two rooms one which had one of the twin beds was already slept on and when the security brought new sheets and pillows to exchange the pillows he brought were also used….they had a strong cologne odor. The second room which was supposed to be “smoke free” was NOT!! This was my first time in these hotels and you very better believe it’s my LAST!!
I am currently finishing a two night stay in your Reno Airport location. The building needs a makeover as well as the rooms. The only sundries we were given are shampoo and bar soap, no conditioner or lotion. The shower head is leaking all over the place and the air system is antiquated.
The breakfast room is too small and not well managed.
Someone left the alarm on in our room, set for 5:00 am.
This place needs a facelift immediately.
We stayed at a La Quinta in Pearland , Tx for 4 nights on 24th to 28th of Aug. Everything was great except the pool area. The chairs and chaises at the pool were broken, dirty patio table and no umbrella for sun protection. We would have left the hotel if it would not have been for your employee,Christopher Martinez. He found us 4 chairs that weren’t broken, cleaned them ,the table, and climbed over a fence to get us a patio umbrella. He was the most amazing young man, that saved our vacation. You have a very valuable employee in him and we have never had such wonderful service.
I have been recommending that people avoid staying at the Alvin, Texas La Quinta. The manager, Dezzy, is absolutely horrible and I have heard that from several other people I know that have stayed there. She is rude and very confrontational with the guest for no reason at all. She has no business in the Hotel industry business and is going to cost the Hotel a lot of lost revenue in the future with her “over the top” poor behavior. VERY BAD experiences with this lady as so many people have…..
In reference to # 00738914. I received a call from the Hotel Manager in Cedar Hill, TX. After talking to him I see that your hotel have little care for its customer complaints. I will no longer stay at your hotels after many years as a customer.
Last night we stayed at La Quinta off I 95 at Viera in Florida. We have stayed there in the past and have been quite satisfied. However, on this trip, our Room 313 was not your usual standard. The ceiling fan was very dirty and the bathroom had a very funky smell. Additionally, I was denied my usual senior discount. Reason given was “we do not acknowledge discounts when our rooms are full”. Not pleased with La Quinta…either you acknowledge posted discounts or you don’t post discounts. Your rules should not change simply because it is a profitable weekend.
