About Irish Emigration Museum
EPIC, the enchanting and intriguing Irish Emigration Museum at the heart of Dublin City, Ireland is the first of its kind, with innovative digital technology, to explore and discover Irish culture. Founded by Neville Isdell, a former chairperson of the Coca Cola enterprise, the privately owned museum is located at the CHQ building in Dublin’s Docklands.

The Irish Emigration museum, offers a fully-fledged interactive experience about Irish migrants and their influence in diverse fields from the past to the present times. Built and designed by John Rennie, a Scottish engineer in 1817-1820, the CHQ building stands as an Industrial magnum opus, in the Dublin city quay at Docklands. Hailed as a historic location, the Dublin Docklands attract travelers for its spectacular sightseeing attractions, in and around the city center.

Rated as one of the top 5 museums in Ireland, Trip Advisor ranks the museum at #3 for 2018 travelers choice. The World Travel Awards in 2019 recognised the museum as “Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction”. EPIC greeted 80,000 visitors in the first year of its opening in 2016, with 20 spectacular state-of-the art interactive galleries.

Book online and avail offers for family friendly events and guided tours, with audio guides to experience, and uncover the inspirational stories of Irish migrants in the last 1500 years. It takes 60- 90 minutes for guided and self-guided tours to explore the EPIC museum.

Twice a day at EPIC, guided tours assist visitors to explore the unique four themed galleries, namely the migration, motivation, influence, and diaspora today. The Irish Family History Centre is yet another fascinating addition, to visit the EPIC museum. At the center, trace the ancestry of your roots and know about your family lineage.

Easily accessed by all major public transports, the EPIC museum is best to visit from June to September with family and children. The CHQ building is wheelchair accessible, and has seating arrangements spread across the museum. Take home Irish souvenirs from the gift shop, and enjoy multiple choices for snacking and lunch at the various restaurants and cafes inside the building premises.

The EPIC is open to the public 7 days a week and closed on public holidays. The timings to visit the EPIC museum are 10am to 6:45pm, and the tickets cost €15.00 for adults and €7.50 for children. Visitors with Dublin passes get free access, and senior citizens and students can avail tickets for discounted price.
