  1. The unit fails after calibration. I can not drive my car whatsoever. The unit is malfunctioning you can tell by the display, no doubt.Call customer service and I can understand them, but finally find out I owe intoxalock $ 109 for lockout that I didn’t know about. Now I have to pay to have the car towed in. They caused the problem with an old junk unit the is useless and it costs me $109 plus $75 plus towing not to mention the endless frustration, missed appointments etc. Terrible service, terrible products, total rip off.

  2. I have had the same experience as others. The worst company to deal with. You cannot get through to a live person for at least 20 minutes-then you have to “start” your story all over again. The device blew the battery on my 2022 car-with less than 10,000 miles. The dealership has been trying to fix it for over two weeks. I had to request removal and re-installation (paid for by me) and they still managed to arrange for this to take place at the WRONG dealership in ANOTHER state. I was speaking with a “supervisor”. And the call I got when I wrote my first bad review? The guy Brandon who was going to be my contact and work with me on everything? GONE. Haven’t been able to reach him for over 5 days. Go to another installer if you can.

My real problem is not with intoxalock company per se ( however they have certain problems with their call centers ), it’s how the installation company redirects anything that happens they force you to contact Intoxalock even though the problem is the installation persons problem. They do not want to take Responsibility for anything whatsoever, they refer you back to contacting intact Salak home employees a lot of people at their call center that cannot speak nor understand English very well. That is frustrating.

  4. Literally the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, as of recent. So easy to take your money but the moment you have a question, forget it.
    I would highly recommend dropping “Intoxalock” once you have the opportunity to do so. Also, don’t expect “voluntary use” after the fact, they advertise it but are not loyal to it. Also if you want to talk to someone about that option, no one will answer or help you…regardless of calling 15+x.

  5. There isnt any customer service. No one to speak to about my over billing issues. Cant speak to a customer representative as they say. Need help. No person to talk to.

    • I have been on the phone with customer service this morning trying to get a billing issue from last month resolved and the representative twice has put me on hold and then disconnected.

  6. I’ve left many calls and emails with Nate McNamara and get no response. I’ve broken down three times on the side of the road, my car is still the shop because of your devise keeps shutting all electrical in my car. My recal date is Friday the 13th and I’m not sure I’ll have my car back so I need to move the date but Nate won’t call back as usual. This issue along with the price gouging is well documented with my state rep, BBB and Massachusetts AGs office. Treating people like money machines won’t work with me. I’m an upstanding citizen in the world of AA and my reputation is impeccable. I have no problem being challenged by your company and your criminal price gouging tactics. It is well documented that I’ve been trying to get resolution on the matter of a possible miss recal date because I don’t my car and it’s still in the shop. I just want make sure I have as much documentation as possible for when your report me in violation. I have requested the complaint log you keep when I call into your help lines but was refused. As a matter of law this is illegal not to furnish me this info. The matter of my recal date being missed and receiving no help except that I can change it $40.00 even to the issue is yours is unacceptable and pricing gouging 101. I have been keeping a log of dates and times of emails, phone calls into your company and other agencies as reported.

    • Did you ever get a response from the ag office or the BBB in Massachusetts regarding this company. I too am being price gouged every month for false failure readings also when I had my machine tested it actually said the machine was at fault. They were supposed to reimburse me after oh how many calls and they never did. They have many times overcharged me and promised to put it back into my account and never did but they know we have nobody to complain to so we end up paying them month after month extra money.

  7. Amusing. Every number for Intoxalock turns out to be recorded message loop. No live person. So, it would appear that once you are the proud recipient of an Intoxalock device, you are a left to your own devices (no pun intended). Suffice it to say, I will be contact the DMV and Dept. of Consumer Protection for my State. Interestingly enough, when Intoxalock sought to sign you up as a new customer, there were no lack of customer service (or is it sales?) representatives extolling the virtues of Intoxalock and the great support you will receive. It all amounted to nothing more than sales puffery.

  8. I’ve had multiple issues with getting my calibrated device on time. This causes much hardship on my daughter and forces her to miss work because the car goes into lockout. Customer Service then promises prompt delivery and it takes days to get a new device after the company screws up.
