About Hyderabad Metro Rail
Hyderabad Metro is a metro rail system serving commuters in Hyderabad, Telagana, India. The rapid transit system operates on 3 lines and currently connects 40 stations. Each day more than 200,000 riders take the metro trains. Launched in the year 2017, the metro rail is operated by Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd, with headquarters based in Metro Bhawan, Begumpet.

The rail lines consist of Blue, Red and Green. They connect Nagole to Mettuguda, Miyampur to Ameerpet, Mettugauda to Ameerpet, Ameerpet to Hitech City, Hitech City to Raidurg, Ameerpet to LB Nagar, JBS to MGBS and MGBS to Falaknuma. Soon Hyderabad Metro will introduce Raidurg to Shamshabad RGI Airport, Nagole to Shamshabad RGI Airport, Miyapur to Lakdi Ka Pul, Miyapur to Patancheru, LB Nagar to Hayath Nagar, JBS to Alwal and Tarnaka to ECIL Roads.

As for the stations, they consist of Miyapur, JNTU, KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Balanagar, Moosapet, Bharatnagar, Erragadda, ESI, Raidurg, Cyber Gateway, Hitech City, Durgam Cheruvu,, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Yousufguda, Maduranagar, Begumpet, Prakash Nagar, Rasoolpura, Secunderabad, Mettuguda, Tarnaka, NGRI, Stadium, Uppal, Malakpet, New Market, Musarambagh, Dilkushnagar, Chaitanyapuri, Victory Memorial, LB Nagar, Shalibanda, Charminar, Jangametta and Falaknuma.

Hyderabad Metro Rail operates from 6.30am to 10.30pm. You can plan your trip on the website, get the details of the stations and buy tickets to board the train. You can also do same and access network map on the smartphone app. Station addresses are published on the website. Most stations have elevators and escalators for convenience. Single journey tickets for travel can be purchased at the station’s ticket counter. You can purchase a smart card on which you can load multiple tickets. Smart cards can be used for quick travel between stations and hassle-free journey. A non-refundable fee is charged for issuing smart cards. The card can be recharged for a minimum amount of Rs 100. Passengers can reload their smart card online using major credit or debit cards. Visit the lost and found counter for reporting missing items. The elevated metro rail with 2 tracks is most busiest in the evening hours. The coaches are air-conditioned and fully automated.
