Hello,
We have just been to the crystal lotus for my wifes 50th Birthday. We had an amazing time and a beautiful meal. We were not staying at the hotel and had traveled there based on your reputation and to celebrate this occasion. We are staying at the Auberge discovery bay.
We asked for a taxi to be called for us, and had one hailed down. The Concierge hailed a taxi for us and he asked the driver to take as to Discovery Bay, there was what seemed like a heated conversation, but as it was in Chinese we could not understand what was being spoken about.
Once in the taxi we realised within a few minutes that our driver appeared drunk, he was stopping irrationally and driving between two lanes, at one point a bus was approaching us and flashed its high beams to indicate to the driver to take care.
We were absolutely terrified for our lives, as he drove terribly and looked like he was going to fall asleep. We felt helpless in this situation as we were away from any other taxi options.
Your team need to take greater care about putting tourists into an unsafe cab. We spent a least $500 NZ dollars and expect better,
He was a red taxi and the vehicle identification was LG 836.
This has put a real damper on an other wise very special day for us.
We thought we were going to end up in a horrific accident.
This is not ok, and we think you need to take greater care of your guests
I look forward to your reply.
Whilst we understand no direct blame lands on you, we want you to understand that we had the worst experience in a taxi of our lives.
The motivation for this email is that no ones dies as a result of a taxi from your fine hotel .
Dan Crozier.
Disappointed, It really was horrific!! and my wife was terrified, which really ruined an other wise amazing day.
