About Hellenic Duty Free Shop
Hellenic Duty Free Shops SA is an exclusive group of duty free retail outlets. The Company was founded in 1978 in Greece. Hellenic Duty Free Shops sells taxed as well as duty free goods from leading brands. They can be found at the exit points when traveling in Greece. What started as a two store company, now consists of more than 97 retail outlets in Greece alone. The shops are located at 45 checkpoints, with 22 being at airports, 11 at border checkpoints, and 12 on ports. Hellenic Duty Free Shops was listed on ATHEX but was later delisted in 2013, following Dufry acquisition of 49% of shares. The first two shops of the company were located at the eastern and western airports of Athens. The company introduced a single discount pricing model for some of the major product categories, and the special prices were maintained throughout. Hellenic Duty Free Shops ranked 7th in the World’s Top 50 Giant Operators in 2010. Hellenic Duty Free Shops was recognised as Best New Beauty Store for cosmetics and perfumes in the Intra Schengen area of the Athens International Airport.

Customers can shop for branded perfumes, cosmetics, chocolates, clothing, Greek foods, accessories, travel goods, games, souvenirs, electronic items, and games. All of these can be purchased at travel value prices. Hellenic Duty Free Shops takes part in the ‘Best Price Guarantee’ program initiated by the Athens International Airport. If any traveler finds a product at a lesser price than what is listed at Hellenic Duty Free Shops, he/she gets the difference returned twice over. If you wish to shop for an item from the Hellenic Duty Free Shops online, you can go for pre-order service on the website.

The website facilitates online shopping as per the region you are traveling in. You can choose the country, and the website will suggest the nearest pick-up points for your ‘collect and reserve’ pre-order. This means you can choose any item from the website, reserve it and collect it when you are around the store at the airport. The service is available for all passengers departing from key airports. Simply browse the website, select preferred articles, and add them to the shopping cart. Make sure to fill in the date of departure and destination. Customers can cancel pre-orders any time before departure. All you need to do is log into your account and modify the order. Payments are processed during the collection of the order, and there is no mandatory booking or transaction fee. Customers can book their order no earlier than 30 days and no later than a day before the departure.
