The grocery store is not a place for people to take their pets. Unless it is a fully licensed service dog, it should not be in the store. I have seen people in the Sanford Maine store with dogs on their shoulders, a baby pig strapped to their chest and just recently in front of the meat department, a 25 pound dog on its back being petted by people. I’m an animal lover, but pets, “emotional support” animals are illegal in grocery stores. It would be great if management backed this up.
