About Galleria Borghese
Galleria Borghese is an art museum in Rome, Italy. Located within the building of the Villa Borghese Pinciana, the art gallery houses the Borghese collection of paintings, sculpture and antiquities. Established in the year 1903, the museum has 20 rooms that provide a glimpse of baroque art. It is said to have been first ordered in 1613 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese. One of the most famous pieces of art visitors will find here is Bernini’s Apollo and Daphne. Visitors will also be enthralled by the works of Raphael, Titian and Caravaggio, besides other painters of the Renaissance and Baroque..
Galleria Borghese is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 8.30am to 7.30pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance online on the website or by calling the gallery.
