About Freycinet National Park
Freycinet National Park is a large stretch of protected wilderness in Tasmania, Australia. Spread across 65.3 square mile, the park is named after French navigator Louis de Freycinet. Established in the year 1916, the park is one of the two oldest in Tasmania. Freycinet encompasses bays, sand beaches and mountains. Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park is ranked among the top beaches in the world.

Beautiful flora and fauna surround the park as well. There are more than 800 orchid species found at Freycinet. Mammals commonly found include Tasmanian bettongs, long-nosed potoroos, water rats, swamp rats, ringtail possums, blue tongued lizards, mountain dragons, Tasmanian froglets, among others.

There is a visitor center at the entrance of the park that is open daily from 8am to 5pm. You can inquire on the wide range of activities, tours and tickets for entry. There is also a shop that sells postcards, posters, books and clothing. If you are planning for an extended stay, you can ask for the campsites that are available for rent. For queries on timings, tickets, restaurants, accommodation, parking, or others, reach the Freycinet National Park customer support.
