This insurance company has provided me with the worst and most unprofessional experience I ever had especially when the accident was not my fault. I was involved in car accident where one of Fred Loya’s insured was at fault. This incident took place on September 16th 2022. I provided all necessary information of this incident to my adjuster very quickly. My adjuster contacted me on October 13, 2022 a month later to inform me that Fred Loya would take responsibility for the claim. My adjuster won’t return calls or any emails to confirm if the payment was sent out or why I’m only being reimbursed a portion of the amount I paid for the rental car while my car was being repaired. Eventually my adjuster got a hold of me and said we are only reimbursing you $1142.26 of the $1801.26 that I spent with no explanation. She previously requested a timeline from the body shop (see below) and still no acknowledgement. I called and left numerous messages with my adjuster and her supervisor. No one has returned my calls.
This insurance company has provided me with the worst and most unprofessional experience I ever had especially when the next was not my fault. I was involved in car accident where one of your insurer hit my park car. This incident took place on November 8th 2022. I provided a video of this incident to my adjuster very quickly. The car is insured in my name and is registered under my mother’s name. I was e-mail because I was hospitalized at the time. My adjuster wasn’t returning any emails to confirm if the payment was sent out, once she did she sent it the wrong address. Eventually my adjuster got a hold of my mom because I was unable to speak on the phone only emails. So when I called she has sent my payment out to the wrong address yet again. So I called and got it sent out again which is now the 3rd check and my car still hasn’t been fixed and my payment still has not been received. I called and left message with my adjuster’s supervisor. Today I left another message with the supervisor let’s see if she can call back.
Fred Loya Insurance is a joke! The person who hit my car took full responsibility for same. I had to take my car to them so they could take pictures. I was then told to drop off my car at an auto shop of my choice and the check would be mailed directly to me. My car was dropped off to an auto shop on September 24, 2022 – As of today’s date January 4, 2023 my car still sits at the auto shop as we’ve yet to receive a check from FRED LOYA. I call constantly and keep getting the run around from the adjuster to the call takers and even the supervisors. Such a stressful situation.
The reputation of Fred loya insurance company is tarnished by their claims department. From the supervisors down to the call takers. The worst part about it is, that they have carried this same reputation for years. It’s time for the Department of insurance consumer services to step in and bring Fred Loya license of insured for consumers under a full review. They do not operate in a capacity that the insured consumer is in their companies best interest.
