About Faneuil Hall Marketplace
Faneuil Hall is a historic landmark in Boston, Massachusetts. Built in 1742, Faneuil Hall has been a popular marketplace and meeting hall. It was rebuilt in 1763 after a fire destroyed the building. The building is 100ft long and 80ft wide. It was here that patriots Samuel Adams, James Otis and Dr. Joseph Warren gave speeches in protest against “taxation without representation”. It was also here where American colonists first met to protest the Sugar Act.
The Faneuil Hall Marketplace comprises of Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, North Market and South Market. Places of attractions in close proximity include City Hall, Old State House, Custom House, Old South Meeting House, Paul Revere House, Long Wharf, Rowes Wharf and State House. At the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, you have more than 100 shops selling a wide range of products. You also have 18 restaurants and 44 pushcarts. It is open most days from 10am to 9pm.
