It connects travellers to more than 850 car rental companies in 150 countries and 20,000 locations. It partners with leading brands such as Avis, Hertz, National, Europcar, Alamo, Enterprise, Budget and Thrifty.

We have recently returned from a trip to Panama. We booked our van through Economy Bookings and paid for full insurance coverage. When we arrived in Panama to pick up our van the Thrifty Rental Agency told us that the Coverage that Economy Bookings sold us was not valid in Panama. As a result we had to purchase insurance through Thrifty as well in the amount of $356.93. We would like to be reimbursed for the insurance coverage that we paid for through your company as it was not valid. This should be illegal. We have no problem with our van rental through Economy Bookings only the insurance coverage. I would certainly never book through Economy Bookings again if this is how you treat your customers. Hi this is Mark Mayo.
I have my car rental but it was brought to my attention that I have been double booked. I have also been charged twice. When I booked the first time, it told me that my card had been declined so I tried to book again and it accepted the card the second time. Please reverse charges on the second booking. The 2 booking #’s are B91494234 and B17348179. Thank you for your help

I recently rented a car through Economy Bookings with Easirent, Edinburgh. When collecting the car, I was asked to leave an excess deposit of 1500 pounds. In using my credit card, the amount was declined. I wanted to put another card in which would have gone through as it was a credit card too but the company showed me print outs that said the first card I used was indeed a credit card, but the second was a debit card. That was the first I’d heard that it was not a credit card. They then told me I would need to half the excess deposit by paying 80 pounds, which I did. When I returned the car, I asked for the invoice. I was told the printer didn’t work but was assured I would get it by email. It was never sent until I rang them to ask for it. I have it now.
The major problem with this booking is that I was coerced into paying the 80 pound charge to reduce the excess when, apparently the second card that came up as a debit card in their office was actually a credit card as well (I checked with the card company when I got home.) and would have satisfied the 1500 pound demand for excess. It was a clever trick but I think that this charge was unjust and would like all or part of the charge returned to me.
