I love shopping at DG but everything you post on your sale paper is not in any stores… I’m always at the store when opens to get the deals…workers always say we got trucks but they don’t know if there’s any on there or not….this is false advertising why put out a paper if the supplies ain’t there and bring in top dog workers to get this straightened out instead of sitting behind a desk y’all lose alot of money because Walmart picks it up because they have workers and the trucks are unloaded example I went in for the Christmas blowups that were 1/2 off not any they r just unloading the Thanksgiving truck the Christmas isles are about empty the dollar rack almost empty what good is it to have a brand new store that has nothing located in Ravenden Arkansas

Very nasty! Bathroom was disgusting: brown ring around sink, trash can was so close to toilet that trash and bag were on seat, toilet was unclean and floor was slippery and very dirty.
Had to wait 6 minutes for cashier to come to register. She carried on a personal conversation with man behind us the whole time she waited on us.
We stopped in passing through on a trip.
Will NOT stop there again!

I was at dollar general in crabtree pa at1033 this morning and I had the worst experience ever. I spent maybe 20 minutes getting what I needed, went to the register and then…the cashier rang up my purchases and I told her I had 3 different forms of payment. Ok I thought, I can do this. ( I have bad anxiety and I just started going back out by myself again after 4 years) this was only the 5th or 6th time I’ve been out alone in the past 2 months. So I said I’m going to use my ebt card first, ran it through no problems, then told her I had a otc card, she said you should have used that first because now it will not go through, you are going to have to pay cash for the rest I can’t even take anything off or re-ring any of it now, I am going to have to take the money you have add my own money to it and then return all of it to get my money back, you can’t have anything, (which I don’t know means what like I can’t even have the food that was already paid for?), then she added that this always happens to her, So I counted up all the money I had and was short $5.56 I didn’t have my phone on me so to further add to the humiliation I had to ask her if I could use the phone to call my husband,(who thank God was only down the street), I told him I needed him to come and bring me some money cause I did not have enough, by this time I was in tears and could barely tell him what was going on. He got there I was in full out panic attack. I told him pay her get my stuff I need to go. Went out to my car hysterical. Left the parking lot and went home. When he got home I was still very upset, he finally got me calm enough to tell him everything. He went back up there and told her she was very rude and ignorant for doing that to me, she followed him out to the car took a picture of the license plate number and told him to never come back again. All this while customers were in line. So instead of doing her job right she decided cause her day was ruined she was going to ruin mine. Thanks a lot dollar general employee…I will never go there again.
I have tried numerous times the last two days to sign up for digital coupons. I don’t understand why they keep declining me. I am trying to use my mobile phone number, which is 402-320-1079 and my store is in Carter Lake, IA. 3000 Locust Street. The last time I got all the way through and was declined. I don’t understand why.
Also, my store shows Bounty paper towel for 3.50, but they charge 5.00. When I question them , I got “it’s up to Corporate to change the shelf price”. I did get them for 3.50, but it has never been changed.

Why hasn’t the company learned by now that your stores need more help?! Some stores have great employees who actually care and work, while others have people who work long enough to get a check or two then quit because they see what all they are expected to do for little pay! All your corporate office employees don’t have a clue what goes on to run a good store, they wouldn’t last a day working in a store! I am ashamed to say that I did work in many of your stores, I put up with a lot of crap, plus worked my butt off! I brought several of your stores up from nothing! I worked my days off which were few, I worked off the clock just to get things done, I worked as loss and prevention catching shoplifters, worked on my hands and knees cleaning the stores, etc and the list goes on!! When is your company going to finally listen to your customers and employees??????
You are right on your comment. I work at one in LaGrange, GA and my SM and ASM works harder than our young people that work the store. I enjoy working for the store and want to continue, but as you said we are not appreciated and there is favortism within the stores from the DM.

Please consider who you hire and make sure the workers want to work. Please also fix your registers to make sure the $5 coupons scan on Saturdays. I was just at a local store, and the cashier told me to read the coupon code to her because she could not see it and it would not scan. I read the numbers, checked out, and left. When I got to my car, i noticed that the $5 did not come off, so i went back in. The cashier said i would have to wait until Monday, and she saw it come off on her side???? She wanted to argue with me instead of helping me, so they refunded everything, at least i hope so because i left everything there and will never go back. The cashier was also making nasty comments, and when i asked her something she made sure she said she was not talking to me.
Dollar general in Moody, Tx has recently undergone a turnover. I have shopped at this store since it opened. I have always been happy with the employees. Unfortunately, it seems they scraped the bottom of the barrel with their current employees. Rude people. Speak and conduct themselves in a thuggish manner. I will never go back after my recent experiences.
Did you know that ordering online for pickup is useless when the employees hoard the products in the store room and have family members come buy them and the product never makes it to the shelf? And also, the card readers at the registers don’t work at all for some banks. I can’t go to our local store, and mind you it’s the only store for miles, without cash? Which by the way, our banks are also miles away to be able to get cash.
Dollar General Market in Pleasant View Tn has the Mandatory signs on the doors to wear masks but they are still allowing people in that are not and it is kind of hard to enforce it when many of the employees down to the management are wearing them but under their noses. I have COPD and it is very hard for me to wear one so others can too. Some lady in line was wearing one under her nose and then turned around and sneezed all over the place not even bothering with covering her nose then wiped her nose with her hand and then worked the card machine when checking out. This is why this virus is getting worse. You never have any nor have you ever kept wipes by the carts either. Might be a good time to start doing it. And send people away when they are not wearing a mask. I wear mine with my health issues so can everyone else.
I went to the Dollar General store Yesterday 8-1-2020 to Get some items as I Had a Coupon for $5 off $25 so after I got what I needed I went to the checkout Area and One register came open so I began to put my Items on counter to Be scanned then I noticed a small sign that said No Checks so I told the associate all I Had to pay with was a check so He Handed back the items and I went totjw other register. I put all my Items on counter plus my coupon and The Associate scanned them and told Me how much it would be so I wrote a check and Handed Him the check as Well my Driver’s license then He asked for my Phone number which I gave that to him as well so now just to run The check thru and I’d be in My way. Oh But wait The Associate said My Check wasn’t accepted What so I Said Why and He said Do You want me to run it again and My reply was Yes absolutely so He Had to Have My driver’s License again and I told Him My Phone Number again now it’s Time to Sign My name for the Check Oh But Wait the Associate said It Was Declined again so I Said I’m Done just give My Check Back and the Coupon so I Left Because this isn’t the first time that I’ve Had problems with a Check Here in Windsor Missouri and I’ve never Had a problem Elsewhere like the Local Grocery store or Casey’s convenience,Not even at Wal Mart which I May add is out of town. Like I said this wasn’t the first time with being able to pay for items with A Check and Why can’t either Register take a Check? I Had stood in line for a while then when I got to One That’s when I Found out No Checks…..Very Very Dissatisfied!!!!!
Laporte County has mandated that everyone wear a mask. Store 11765 is in the town of Westville which is in LAPorte County, Westville , Indiana.
When I entered the door- one employee had her mask pulled down and pulled it up under her nose. Another employee opening boxes right next to the door had her mask below her nose. As I was checking out- I asked the cashier if she knew about the county mandate for masks. She replied “I have a mask on”. I pointed out it was not covering her nose. She answered, ”it’s a mask.” I was frustrated at her lack of concern for the public and told her that schools were opening I a few weeks and mask are mandated to help make that happen. She rolled her eyes at me and did not fix her mask.

HWY 82&65 S. Can not keep #1 any kind of bleach. #2 No hand sanitizer. What is the problem are these items in short supply? Or are they still in the back not being put out yet or is everyone buying it up? Need to limit these items so others can be able to have them also. This store is way to small for all the items that are in the back. The parking is a nitemare. Looks like their are more soft drinks than merchandise. And how come we don’t have a dollar isle? Y’all could make a great profit in this small town we only have 1 grocery store. Y’all could add more grocery items lot of us in this small town would come in and buy more items. Also on a positive note Manager and staff are nice and helpful.
Also I am disabled and so are alot of others. How about a couple of carts? I really like Dollar General Stores and I just want to try and see if y’all can get us see things we need. Also Thanks for setting up these sites so you can see what the customers are saying about your stores.

I go to store #14633 in Newport, DE and this is the only one I go to since it opened. I used to love going there but within the last year it has gone WAY DOWN HILL. THE STORE USED TO BE VERY CLEAN AND USED TO HAVE GREAT PEOPLE WORKING THERE. But NOT NOW. Within the last year or so there has been so many different people working there. I now hate shopping there. I go to other stores now. I used to spend at least $100 per visit and I would shop there almost every other day. You can go into the store on any given day now and it is just a mess. New inventory up every isle, blocking them, empty boxes thrown on the floor, just dirty. Nasty cashiers, not one of them welcome you, they act like you are bothering them if you can get anyone of them, managers included to come out of the office to ring you up. I don’t know what the problem is but maybe you should pay your employees more so that they care, or maybe just hire better people. I won’t return until I see a HUGE CHANGE. VERY UNHAPPY.
What’s the deal??? Why are none of the Dollar General stores in WV practicing safety measures during the pandemic? They have x’s on the floors and that’s it!!! No one wears masks. No one is practicing keeping their distance. The employees are not wearing masks!!! This is uncalled for and so very disrespectful to the public. Plus they do nothing to encourage the patrons to respect self distancing. What?! A silly sign taped to the top of a shelf when you walk in the store saying that there is only 22 people allowed in the store at a time?!!
Today, Feb 16, 2020 around 5:35-5:40pm I was at Dollar General on 26th and Parade St in Erie, Pa I went in to the store for a few items and the employee that was ringing out customers was extremely rude. No hello, no thank you, no how are you today, no smile, she didn’t ask if I would like a receipt at the end of the transaction either. I grabbed my bag and looked at her and said thank you and she reply’s with, “Mmmhmmm.” I go in this specific store at least 2-3 times a week and due to her unprofessional and piss poor attitude I will not be returning to this particular store. I hope this matter will be taken care of in a timely manner so you won’t lose any more customers.

I went to the Dollar General store in Crane Mo. Campbells soup was listed on the sign buy 2 get 1 free in big letters. I was not able to read the extra fine print . I went to the cashier with the soup and other items, only to find out after she rang everything that you have to have some coupon that you had to get on your phone . I paid for everything , but I will not shop there any longer after years of being a loyal customer. I found out from other people that I know they have experienced the same thing , we don’t want to do business with a company that uses false advertising, this is very disappointing from a company we trusted !!!!!!!!!
Your Columbiana, Al store is brand new. We lost the Fred’s store and there is no other discount store in our small town. We go into your store several times a week. There is seldom a cashier behind the counter and most of the time there is a line of at least five people . The store is junkie looking,. Last. nght there were at least 25 carts in isles full of unopened boxes which makes it very difficult to get around in the store.. It is like that every time I go in there. If the manager continues to do such a poor job there, it will not be open long.
The store in Slocomb Alabama, called Dollar General Marketplace is horrible!! The store is nasty, the freezer are half stocked and never have enough registers open. I don’t know if there’s not enough personnel in there or its just mismanaged. Slocomb is a small town but this store could be top notch, instead it looks like the store has been there 30 years. As of yesterday, I refuse to shop again there. I will go to Family Dollar and grocery stores from now on.

Your store in Vienna Illinois 62995 is in horrible condition. There in-stock is horrible and the merchandise is either in the floor or on blue carts. On Monday May 13th 2019 at about 2pm went in the store I needed milk and eggs and dog food. I headed to the check-out and there was the biggest problem. There was 10 people in line checker trying her best to hurry though each customer but the line got longer so I step out of line to see if there was someone else in the store and I found a key carrier and told her about the line. She looked at me and said the store manager told her she was not to check she was to stay on the floor and work freight. It was so stupid I put my stuff back and walked out.
Your store located at 5415 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654 has no exterior lighting. The huge sign at the road is out as well as the sign that covers the FULL length of the store front and it’s VERY dark in this particular area. The last three times I’ve been in I’ve mentioned it to the staff and I’m told each time that corporate office is aware of the issue. I’d like to think that’s not true especially since Dollar General seems to be a target of thieves and armed robberies and makes the news on a regular basis. I will not return until I see the lighting has been fixed.
Dollar general store in texarkana on south lake drive needs some help. Most of the time after waiting nearly five minutes or longe to be checked out you have go through the store to find a cashier, who is busy stocking and the only cashier in the store. Customers are really complainin about this.Because of this I will put items back and just leave not only me I have watch other customers do the same .I have asked why the company don’t hire stocker so the cashier wuld be able to greet and be available to check out the customers this would be better for the customers and the cashier would be available. THIS is really becoming a big issue at this store. Great store and all the cashier are very nice and very helpful in assisting you when they are not trying to do ten other jobs. Just saying let the Cashiers be cashiers and the stockers be just stockers
Every since you got a new manager at your Union Point, Ga. store they keep running out or normally stocked items that were always on hand. People of our small town have in the past done most of their grocery shopping at that store as we do not like Ingles down the road. However people are saying with the way things are lately they may have to go back to shopping at Ingles.
The dollar general in Cassville MI need someone to run that store better then it is. We went in their and they had Pepsi mountain dew on sale for 3 for $3.00 they had the sign on the Pepsi too. They should of gave it to us because they made the mistake not me. This store is run down and a lot of time we go to another one because of not having things off the floor.

I would like to commend the 2 gentlemen at Store #17207 in Porter Texas. They were very helpful, they knew the store layout and was quick to point me to what I was looking for. The store was very clean and orderly. When customers lined up at 1 check out line, then the other came and opened the other. Both the manager and myself learned something that day.I will drive the 20 miles just to go to this store. Thanks to your Employees at this location.
The DG in Creston Ohio needs a LOT of TLC. The store is a mess nothing is where it should be, stacks of boxs in the middle of isles, Just about every shelf is in some sort disarray, Very difficult to fine what you want or need. The condition of this store is very sad.
Stopped at the Dollar General on North Main Street in Almont Michigan I was extremely pleased. the store was clean! Yes the community just had a Dollar General built no more than a mile from my house very convenient I was thinking great I’ll start using the store the closest Walmart is 18 miles away closest grocery store is 10 miles away,, since the store open the ice machine has not work since the day the store open and grand opening the handwritten sign sorry for the inconvenience but we do have a grand opening LOL that’s a nice way to start have not had ice since temperature has only been 95 to 102 everyday here in Texas I believe we would have used some ice here in Texas the milk has been out a couple of times talk to manager she is working on that no complaints about manager she’s blaming the ice company which is ready ice could someone please see into this and contact me if you like as I need to go because I have to drive 10 miles to get a bag of ice and I have a Dollar General on mile from my house have a great fourth please contact me let me know someone seen my post thank you
There is a DG in Hattiesburg MS, on Hwy 49 and the corner of John Street (I believe). It is about 2 minutes from the industrial park. At lunch many people who work in the industrial park go to DG for items. Today I went in picked up 6 items ad along with 19 other people waited in line. 3 customers asked for more checkers. In the back/across form the bathroom, a staff meeting is happening. A man, who may be store manager is talking about what he wants to do for this store…we are asking for a checker. He never comes out of the room, just tells us they /employees are meeting. There are 20 people in line and his responses was there is a checker out there. Well so much for your customer first imitative. That’s fine, I made sure there were 19 people in line when I left and I left my basket off items out side the restroom, so he could see them after the meeting. I also explained to him those were the items I was going to purchase. So I’ll make sure to go to Wal Mart now and spend at least one more dollar than I would have at DG. Oh, and if conduct a staff meeting, it’s better to do it somewhere more private and also, it’s unprofessional to argue with customers.
I was recently in one of the many Wilson, NC stores and I’m ashamed for this company. This has happened on many occasions I have entered the store been looked at by the cashier and been ignored. Then the person that comes in after me gets greeted and asks if they need anything. Is it a race problem with them. Shelves are always messy cluttered or just constantly empty. Upon checking out the cashiers personal phone rang so she proceeded to answer it and talked to whoever during my transaction. After paying she throws my receipt in the bag swings it around and walks off no thank you, come back soon. I had purchased a milk for my son and thank god I took a sip before giving to him it was outdated by a WEEK. I went right back in and told them I just purchased it and it’s spoiled. Same cashier looked at me saying you just didn’t get that. I mean it was 5 min since I checked out come on. So I went to get another one and found some dated for MAY. The other employee talking to her said oh yeah we’re going to get that taken care of tonight. i mean really guys that should have been taken care of weeks ago. Becaus of this and other problems I will no shop at this one and I will not recommend it to anyone.
I’m very upset over being expected to use digital coupons now just to get sale items. Not everyone has phones that can do the digital coupons and these are the poor people that need desperately to buy the sale items. Most of your customers ARE poor people and this digital coupon idea excludes your typical customers and it’s like a slap in the face to everyone that makes your stores such a success. I am so frustrated with stores complicated ideas. This just discriminates against people that can’t afford cellphones to receive sale items in your stores. Completely disappointed with all stores that have chosen to do this to their customers. Just despicable that businesses have chosen to do this. If it works, don’t fix it. I will NOT be shopping at any stores that do this, I will go to other stores that care about their customers and don’t discriminate against poor people that don’t have access to having devices for digital coupons.
