Debonairs Pizza is a South African pizza restaurant chain founded by Craig McKenzie and Andrew Harvey. Part of Famous Brands, Debonairs operates from its headquarters at Midrand, Johannesburg. I placed an order online last week Friday and did not receive my order and was told by Tsepo from the store that the driver had too many deliveries and therefore he will be late however he did not come . I later called the store several times and spoke to Hlengiwe who lied and said that the driver did bring my order and didn’t find me which was not true as I waited outside while others had said the driver was 10 min away from my delivery address. I have requested for my refund and up to now I have not received my money, the services received are just terrible and I will never again purchase anything from the store.
Good mornings I have the worst experience with debonairs zevenwaght. Why is it that customer service is so pathetic within this franchise and management doesn’t even have a way to speak to a customer that the area manager had to speak to me because the stores manager was so rude over the phone and asked me to bring a disgusted pizza physically to me to see infront of him. The more I said to him that I order it for my family that was over to visit on last minute the more he insisted me to bring the food that he can see it.
I am very disappointed in the service I received or rather, did not receive yesterday from your Plumstead branch. At 15H50 yesterday I placed an order online for a large triple decker which came with a R200 sports voucher for delivery. For unknown reasons I was unable to track my order online so at 16H41 I called the store to query my order. I was told that it was received and that it would take between 15 and 20 minutes to be delivered. By17H11 the pizza had still not arrived so I called the store again. I was told that my query was going to be forwarded to the help desk and that they would get back to me. I waited for someone to call with feedback but by 17H46 I called the store again to let them know that I had still not received my order and that I was very disappointed.
I was then told that they would call the driver to find out what was happening with my delivery and that they would get back to me. No one ever got back to me with an apology or explanation of what went wrong. Eventually the driver called at 17H57 to say he was outside our premises. Pizza arrived but it was cold because the driver said he first had to go to Grassy Park and he did not have the R200 sports voucher with him either, this was part of a special. To make matters worse, my area had load shedding and there was no way for us to reheat the pizza so we had a cold pizza for supper. I feel you need to give your employees training on how to handle situations such as the one I experienced. A phone call from someone at the store would have made a huge difference. In any case, this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth,
I ordered pizza from Mthatha Ultra City to be delivered at my place here in Mthatha using Debonairs online Application. The delivery was never made, I received call telling me my collection was ready. The application suck big time. I canceled my order and received sms saying I will be refunded within 5 working days but still have not received received my money back. I am so disappointed with the service.

We have used Debonairs Lydenburg for a number of years and we’ve always been happy with the food quality and customer service however over the past few months when we have ordered a delivery it’s either the delivery is late, very late which means the food is cold or there are items missing from our order but Friday night 29/07/22 was the worst experience we’ve had.
Order was running late so we phoned the call center to be told it was on the way (we only live a 10 min drive away) but minutes to hours has passed and still nothing.
This was now 2.5 hours since ordering, so we phoned again to complain but we were put thru to the store where there was no answer for 2 hours! Then we tried phoning the shop owner as we have her personal number due to previous bad experiences from Debonairs Lydenburg.
The food arrived at 18h20, almost 3 hours since my wife placed the online order. As I said the restaurant is only a 10 minutes’ drive away.
We called the security at the gate, and they said the driver went in and out again with our food, why didn’t he phone? Or ask the security at the gate he can’t find the house number?
At 18h00 a driver phoned my wife telling her there was no answer from the security boom gate that’s why the pizzas were late but like I mentioned the security opened the boom gate for him to go into the complex. The Heads has cameras everywhere in the complex. We can get the footage too.
When he eventually arrived, the food was cold, so we tried phoning the owner Ms. Wilma Verster yet again to complain but no answer.
They just don’t seem to care about customer service. Quick enough to take your money though. This was not our first bad experience this happens every single time we place an order for delivery. Its either the wrong order, or late.
We have now decided to never use Debonairs Lydenburg! Terrible and unprofessional service from a once well-run establishment!
We don’t want any free pizzas on any other day. We hereby request our full refund of R289.60.

This is the worse experience ever at mall of Africa. I ordered a 3tripple decker creamy chicken. When I got it it was flat as a single pizza… no fillings’ you can count the chicken pieces on the pizza, its dry. I was told I must order extra…so what we paying the R179 for then…this is a rip off in bloody day light.
Absolutely disgusting pizza from debonairs. Nothing like what they advertise and the taste keeps deteriorating timelessly. I work very hard for my money for it to go down the drain for a piece of dry bread, Yes DRY BREAD because that is what we get. The triple decker is dry with no filling . Sunday, 27 March, we ordered a meaty Tripledecker pizza from your store in Springbok. What a disappointment! It was nothing like your TV adverisement or on your menu. It was dry, hard and very little filling. The manager informed me that they can only use the ammount of topping as prescribed by Headoffice! Either you are musleading the public or service in Springbok is extremely poor. I can never refer anybody to support Debonairs, Springbok. Waste of money.

I have over over 3 hours waiting for my delivery. I ordered telephonically, didnt receive an SMS for me to track my order. I cant get through because the phones are now disconnected.
Debonairs Pizza Botshabelo Mall is the worst EVER!
Yesterday I bought chicken triple decker at Bunbery crossing. At around 20h00 after my son dished up for us,I realized that I’m chewing more mushrooms than chicken. I then asked my son how was his and he also complained. I then went to my car to get my receipt so that o can call. The manager by the name of Vundla told me that,there is nothing he could do because I have already ate 80% of the pizza. I send him pictures of it and he told me that, the only thing that he can do is to give me a discount next time when I come. The pizza was so disgusting because it was a mushroom pizza and not what I have ordered and paid for.
I send an email to their complained email address and never got a reply. Call their famous brand number and was told they will give the Area manager my contact and no one contacted me. After 3 hours I did a follow up and was told the Area manager was given my contact and he never called me. I told my son to throw away everything because it was not tasting good. Debonairs customer service is very bad because I’m asking myself how long is their turn around time of resolving or attending to complaints.
Last weekend i decided to treat myself to a Debonairs triple decker (supposed to be meaty) pizza- with extra cheese! Order #688. It was ordered at your branch at the Crossing in Nelspruit on Friday 25 Feb at around 18h00 as a take out. What a disappointing pizza. It was just layers of dry dough with virtually NOTHING in between- no filling. Whatever was in there was so thin it seems to have been sprayed on. There was hardly ANY cheese on top. Never mind the extra cheese i paid about R20 for. It was one of the most disgusting pizzas i ever had. My first Debonairs an CERTAINLY my last. You do not have a patch on Romans pizzas. Regardless of the flashy ads and instore displays- what is in the box is a far cry from the anticipation you create. The management of this store needs to be investigated.
What a wonderful experience all around! The lady answering the phone at Debonairs Phalaborwa was warm, patient and helpful. I am not a regular customer but with this attitude and service, I will be back for more.

Worst customer service received in Amalinda and I was trying them out, my best Debonairs is Greenfields, my slip says 18:01..it is now 45 minutes later no explanation and bad customer language, the pizzas are just not moving prioritising Mr Delivery but we are also customers standing outside in this weather.
I am so disappointed with the service delivery on pizza ordered from debonair in dobsonville mall. Triple cram decker does not look as it does from the ads. I have prove of pictures of a pizza without toppings in every single layer in the their food as presented on adverts and on their menus. I am so hurt to send so much and adding extra cheese on it, one will often wonder if that extra cheese was included or not.
Worst customer service from Debonairs Lydenburg. Waited two hours for my food. When it finally arrives my husband needs to go to work without food and the food itself is raw chicken sausage in the cram decker.
Bad delivery service from Debonairs Carnival Mall Brakpan. Never stick to the delivery time. The order i placed online today at 12:30pm for 18:30pm delivery was canceled by me. Driver that hardly speaks English was no where near courteous. This is not the first time. I’ve been a long standing customer with this branch. Other times trackers are not on.
I would like to compliment Zinhle Zungu from debonairs SHELL Richardsbay for her excellent service. I was there today with my son who was crying coz he was hungry as we’ve been traveling for four hours, Zinhle was kind enough to ask why is my son crying so much, I explained to her that he is hungry. She smiled and said your food will be ready soon indeed she went at the back to be sure we get our order quick. She came back with it and said to my son here is your food. Boy the smile on my son’s face was priceless, thank you ZINHLE
I had a very bad service today at debonairs central park Bloemfontein, I bought two real deal pizzas and the cashier told me the price and I paid with R100 and he gave me R50, 20 so I just took my receipts and checked the order number as I always do, when he called my number he gave only one pizza and I said where is the other one then he showed me a receipts and said no you only bought one and I showed him the change he gave, he just shouted the kitchen to make him another pizza without saying anything to me and I waited another 30minutes without an apology or anything and on top of that he told the staff members that I want to rob him, so I turned to be their laughing stalk
I’m unhappy with the service at Debonairs Secunda Mall. They closed shop with my order inside without fully informing me that they would.I had to go place an order elsewhere and paid twice. Precious Radebe was the cashier.
