We all LOVED Beyond The Edge!!
And every week we really looked forward to watching this show. It was an uplifting show and refreshing for a change! Please renew this for a second season. Hopefully we won’t have to wait an entire year for Season 2.
I was so disappointed to lean that “United States of Al” has been canceled. I have watched every episode of this show. I think the storyline is fresh and timely. It caught my attention and interest in Season 1 when it portrayed situations with both soldiers and Afghans after the war. The cast and writers are strong and with the different character relationships, there are many stories to be told. I was shocked when Mom was taken off the air at its height of popularity and Al gave me a new show to love. I am a disabled person and TV is one of my few outlets. Please reconsider canceling this warm, funny, and fresh show. I hate to think that good network TV will be lost in the shuffle of the streaming services. Thank you for your consideration.
I am upset that your station CONTINUALLY jerks episodes from the show “Equalizer”. It is SO unfortunate that this new show is on a Sunday night having to compete with all sorts of sports and TV specials. Why don’t you put it on a different night so it can have a decent chance of being renewed? Queen Latifah and cast do a remarkable job in their roles in “Equalizer”. We absolutely LOVE this show. Like tonight, May 1, 2022, the episode is NOT on. You skip Sundays and that creates a fan base that finds it more difficult to even locate when it is on. I find I have to check GOOGLE to find when “Equalizer” is on. That is just ridiculous and short-sighted on your part. If you want to kill a show, well then…just keep doing what you are doing and jerk the show around. There is some real talent on this show. If you have to get rid of shows, get rid of some of your comedies or infinite spin-off versions of NCIS. PLEASE GIVE “EQUALIZER” A CHANCE TO SHINE, DON’T KILL IT.
Survivor just lost me as a viewer because of tonights episode. I’ve been watching since day one. Survivor got WOKE last season, now it’s playing race cards
What is CBS Daytime thinking? First for the Bold and the Beautiful. Killing off the character of John “Finn” Finnegan is very unfortunate. They finally had a story line for Steffy that doesn’t involve the love triangle with Hope and Liam. That story line is old and outdated not to mention a continuous repeat of Steffy and Hope’s mom’s in a triangle with Ridge. Out of all the storylines the kids are repeating what their parents are still doing. Come on I’m sure you have better writers than the same old stuff. Hell I could write better stories than that. Now onto the Young and the Restless. Finally you had an interesting hispanic family and slowly you have gotten rid of all of them. I guess the hispanics on the show are only good if they are never seen like the Abbott’s housekeeper Mrs. Martinez. You had a great character with Jordi Villasuso playing Rey Rosales and finally giving Sharon a different storyline instead of being with Adam. Not to mention the storyline that seemed to be brewing with Rey and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). So what’s next now the same old storyline where Sharon runs to Adam. Come on CBS you’re losing great characters and potentially losing long time fans including me. I’ve watched since I was a kid but this same old circle of stories is enough already. Bring back Finn on B&B and the whole Rosales family on Y&R. Fans need something new
NCIS is GIBBS AND GIBBS is NCIS. The series has been dominated by the Gibbs character for 18 seasons. Many characters which were an integral part of the NCIS series have been removed over the years. Gibbs’ character has sadly changed over a number of series and NCIS lost its “all consuming must watch attraction”. With the Gibbs character being written out of NCIS the plots are weak and the characters mismatched and awkward. After partially viewing three episodes of season 19 without the main character, I am done, even if NCIS is not.
End the misery and cancel NCIS. There are many spin offs of NCIS … is this the best you could do.
I downloaded the CBS app hoping to watch new episodes of “B Positive” since I no longer receive cable and given that the show run’s very late on a work night. When I opened the app I came to find out that unless I have a cable subscription I can not watch any new episodes. I get CBS over the air with an antenna. Technically speaking if you can get CBS over the air with an antenna and it’s technically considered a broadcast channel, then I don’t understand why I can’t watch any of the shows on your app? Either move “B Positive up to an earlier air time or unlock all the episodes of the show. Nobody really ever watches the “United States of Al” anyway. I can argue to that case with the show only having a 31% on rotten tomatoes
I know that we are small fish in the sea in the Upper Peninsula Of Michigan (U.P.) but I was wondering why CBS is no longer on WJMN in Marquette, MI? I understand they were the only station that was not renewed with CBS. Instead it has been assigned to WZMQ I have Direct TV and now CBS either blacks out or freezes continuously. This is not a good situation for either CBS or the viewers. They appear to be a very amateur operation and not up to CBS standards. Is there something that can be worked out with WJMN so we can have the CBS reception that we have come to expect previously?
My husband and I are upset at the theme song you have borrowed from CBS Sunday mornings, and applied to the every day news program in the morning. This is not right. Chuck Mangione’s theme music belongs to the Sunday morning show. CBS news mornings needs its own theme song (desperately).
How can you keep Tony Romo on the payroll? He has something against the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s to weeks in a row where he has said the Chiefs have lost before the game is over. Last week he was wrong. This week he was correct. He is unprofessional. He sides with one team or the other and it’s very noticeable. I hope you are able to change his ways. It’s sad when I have to mute the television. Only him. He was not a good quarterback and an even worse announcer.
Does anyone from CBS listen to Gayle King? She over talks everyone including her co-workers. She continuously demonstrates her reverse discrimination views. She is the cause of reducing viewership on the morning news. What should be presented is a balanced view but she continues to regard the news as the Gayle King show. Definitely not worth the $11 million she is being paid.
As I see from others comments that they are as displeased by the episode regarding forming an alliance of color. This should not be acceptable or even aired! If this was a group of white players then they probably would have been removed from the show. It’s bad enough like removing the word Guys from the statement come in guys. This happened because it bothered someone. If we continue to remove everything that bothers someone then there would be no show. But back to the original point, we keep creating the division of races because we allow it in one direction but not in another. We should all be color blind to matters of humanity and the human race. There’s only one race it it includes all colors. In this day of equality and inclusion then think how that alliance makes everyone else feel? Obviously not included and only because of the color of their skin. It’s sending the wrong message in my opinion. Just had to put it out there as I see that others found that wrong as well.
After watching 20 or so seasons of Survivor I’m just about to call it quits. The “forced” cast diversity was ridiculous. When some of the black contestants decided they would form their own alliance – wow- how is that not racist? When did we ever see or hear white, Hispanic, Asian, etc. contestants say they would form their own alliance. I don’t know if this was promoted by CBS or not but all of this has turned this season into a political platform.
I was VERY upset To see that two programs were not renewed for your fall schedule.
MacGyver & Magnum PI were very good, interesting & favorites of this customer. I enjoyed the plots of each episode & looked forward to each & every Friday night for these shows.
I am VERY upset that these shows were dropped for some reason. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Can you tell me why?
Have watched Survivor from day one and have enjoyed it. Just started to watch season 41 and I hate to say I am done. The nonsense of Jeff having to ask if he can say “Come on in guys” was the last straw. This type of BS has got to stop. It’s so bad that there is nothing to watch anymore because all this kind of crap is being pushed day in and day out. It’s no wonder why all the ratings are declining. People don’t want to be told how they should think or feel much less having it shoved down their throats constantly. The world would be much better off if everyone would just stop talking about it.
I’m all for a black person to win Big Brother through true sportsmanship and gameplay. This group banned together because they were people of color and said out loud that they were going to vote out all “nonblacks” so they could go to the end together. They haven’t been playing Big Brother for themselves as a single player with their own game strategies. They are following what Tiffany is telling them to do to promote their agenda. If a group of white people formed an alliance on there and said openly to their group that they were going to target all nonwhite people then the phones would be ringing off the hook telling the t.v. station how discriminating that is and there would be more publicity about racism going down on the Big Brother show. However, since it is the other way around many people think it’s okay to verbally say they are targeting white people. That is a switched version of racism.
I’m really ashamed that Big Brother did not intervene because of this racism. Earlier seasons where a person not of color said a derogatory remark about black people CBS was all over that and scrutinized everything they said afterwards looking for more racist comments. It seems however that Big Brother may have wanted this type of behavior to happen this season. If not, why are you staying quiet about what is going on? Where are the verbal warnings you give out? Are you okay with switched racism? I am a member of two Big Brother fan sites and on both many die-hard fans have stopped watching weeks ago when “The Cookout” came about because of what was said getting the group together and for what followed afterward. I hope CBS thinks hard about what I have written because if one race is allowed to openly target another and openly says those words then your ratings will start to decline due to fallout from the reverse racism your station allowed to happen. I have always been a loyal fan of Big Brother but this season I became disgusted.
How unfair is it to take my favorite show and put it on a streaming service. My loyalty has always been with CBS and I helped your ratings get big. I’ve been waiting a long time for Evil to come back and now I can’t see it. I’m retired and living on a tight budget!! Boo!!
I would like to make a comment on Stephen Colbert and the tonight Show. For months now, he spends his entire monologs talking about penises and farts EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, while his wife giggles to everything he says. His current obsession with these distasteful subjects is out of control and I am now watching other Nighttime shows.
I am fed up with Gail talking on top of her co anchors and anyone else on CBS morning news. I don’t need her opinion on EVERYTHING! It is not an entertainment show. Her bias on SO MANY topics is evident! She should respect Tony and Anthony and Vlad enough while they are speaking – even during “lighter” topics. She may be a nice person but isn’t professional enough to have the position she is in. Yes, she’s entitled to her own personal opinion but doesn’t have to give it on EVERYTHING. I’m also sick of her being the spokesperson for Harry and Meghan. They pay professional agents to do that job. Maybe she should get a job at Entertainment Tonight. CBS, you’ve definitely let your loyal viewers down!
In the past, CBS has been my choice for accurate, up-to-date, current daily news. That being said, over the past couple of years Norah O’Donnell has taken the stand of putting her own spin, views on political issues. She may not out worldly say what her view is but one can certainly know what they are by her voice, facial expressions, and tone of what they are. I have valued CBS as an unbias broadcasting network however Norah O’Donnell’s views are NOT welcomed. Several of my friends, family, and acquaintances have the same view of your program “Evening News with Norah O’Donnell”
I understand she has completed a personal interview with Mr. Biden, if you watch it you will see just how she comes across to your viewers. One-sided! While it is great, that every American has the choice and free will to support elected officials but they are just that, “personal ” and as a professional keep them out of the public forum.
In today’s world, we need honest reporting without opinions or spins/expressions of the reporter’s feelings or political support.
Not that it matters I am in my 70’s, watched (with exception to Lester Holt) the news on CBS, it would be sad to change my broadcast network but feel to get honest reporting I must.
Get rid of the annoying and distracting music that plays in the background of many of your shows. Sometimes the music is so loud and the characters are speaking so softly that their conversation is lost. The music is an unnecessary and ridiculous addition. It adds absolutely nothing to the enjoyment of the show.
I am a longtime follower of CBS news as one of my trusted sources to keep up with what is going on in the world. However, I am very displeased and concerned by what I am hearing from the team this morning regarding the assault on the capitol building. During this summer’s protests, the term “protesters” was used even during acts of violence and destruction. During the coverage of yesterday’s events, however, the term used (especially by Gail) has been “rioters”. That kind of inconsistency and hypocrisy does nothing to support an image of credible and trustworthy reporting…And I very much like Gail and the other morning correspondence. Give us the facts, minimize the biased commentary, and let us come to our own conclusions, like you do with the evening news, and not your correspondents’ conclusions.
CBS Sunday Morning, regarding the Episode aired 12/27/20:
Just watching as the reporter airs a segment on how everyone’s calendar is empty, no plans, due to 2020 pandemic. And according to the psychologists she interviewed that this goes against human nature and how humans are hardwired To Plan. So without planning, everyone is suffering, bored, and clueless as to how to live day by day.
Absolute rubbish!
Having a clear calendar is a gift every human should cherish. It’s freedom; it’s an opportunity to explore; it’s a chance to Just Be.
Does no one take the path less travelled anymore? Does no one stop to smell the roses, or tiptoe through the tulips? Does no one just sit and think and observe and Be anymore?
Shame on the “experts” to suggest humans are such feeble minded, uncreative, distraction-craving amoebas.
When I think of my calendar, and know there is absolutely nothing scheduled or planned or required, I smile the biggest smile, take a deep breath and let out a long sigh, and feel my soul reignite. For me, and I’m sure countless others, having nothing but free time is the greatest joy and gift in life.
Long time fan of Dancing with the Stars. Do not understand the change of hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. This season has been absolutely painful to watch with Tyra Banks and the awful wardrobe. If she is back next season, we will definitely find another show to fill this time slot.
I have never complained or given feedback like this before. However, the bias of your national news reporting is unparalleled. I am particularly concerned about your censorship in cutting away from the president’s press conference the day after the election. Keep in mind that half of the USA and your viewership voted for him. If you cannot report in an objective, professional manor, do not report on national news! Biden and his party’s speeches were uninterrupted. Yet you did not do the same for the Republican Party. I have never been so concerned for our nation, not because of our elections, but because of your biased reporting. It is not your job to influence but to simply report.
I watched the CBS morning news for many, many years and enjoyed the news your station shared, but this year made me look at how much Gail states her own opinion and it is so one sided. She used to be balanced with her reporting, but this past year she truly showed her feelings (and what SHE stands for) and it has made me turn the channel and find reporters on the other channels much more balanced in how they report the news. I do have to say thank you Gail for questioning Nancy Pelosi’s verbiage concerning President Trumps supporters on Friday, I did not watch, but was able to see it on the internet. When it comes to Tony he thinks he is something, something, so special and the way he reports with his smart attitude really bothers me. The only person I really listen and look to on the CBS morning news is Anthony. He is knowledgeable and balanced on how he shares his reports. I made the change to another morning news station and really enjoy the balance they show for ALL the stories they report on. CBS, you need to do the same.
Hello,
I was on hold and was disconnected, I called to ask about Hot Bench. When will it return and at what time, on the internet is says it will return on Sept. 9th, at 12pm and 12:30pm, but I am on channel 2 and it’s 12:19pm and Hot Bench is not on the news is on.
Interesting…I watched the whole presidential debate and following the debate, all 3 commentators expressed dismay in President Trump interrupting ex vice president, Joe Biden. Both of the candidates talked over each other. Both interrupted. That is not journalism-that is voicing an opinion. No one “reports” news any more, as it is always reported through the personal lens of the one with the title of reporter.
On a side note, for the next 2 debates, cut the microphone of the one who isn’t supposed to be talking..or have them in separate rooms. It was irritating to try to hear what each one was saying when the other constantly interrupted.
Waiting patiently to see and hear Bob Woodward this morning, very rude to cut him off. I find this happens often, we hear idle chit chat but when someone interesting comes on, hurry up and spit it out we gotta go. Wish I could have stayed awake to see him on Colbert, I’ve never seen him be rude to someone like that. Whoever does your programming should have known he isn’t a fast talker.
I don’t know how many hundreds of thousands of dollars you spend per episode of Love Island but I bet it’s quite a few. Why then can you not afford a decent subtitling service? I’ve just watched the first week of your current series and am extremely fed up at the quality of audio and the complete lack of adequate subtitling to compensate for the appalling quality of audio recording and reproduction. From the mumbling of the participants to the twee comments of the voiceover presenter half the dialogue is completely inaudible. I turned on the subtitling on the TV to attempt to compensate and they are appalling. Half the conversations or comments aren’t even subtitled and those that are appear in slow motion 30 seconds or more after they are actually spoken. I know from watching other shows that this is not due to any technical problem, those shows provide perfectly adequate subtitles. Instead it appears due to CBS choosing not to make the effort to provide proper subtitles. This is also the case in other shows of yours – Survivor comes to mind.
If you want people to watch your shows, particularly your reality shows then provide proper subtitles. If not then I’ll either stop watching them, or find another way of watching them.
Would like to express our overall displeasure with network programming, especially via air antennae. Many folks have already and are continuing to unplug from cable services due to its high expense, especially during this pandemic. We expected to get mostly decent, family-friendly network TV via air antennae. But such is not the case.
Thank Goodness for broadcasting via LAFF, ME TV, PBS, Think TV, E/I etc. We are not prudes but unfortunately, the majority of network programming is blood and guts, stabbings, killings, murders, people sporting all kinds of weapons, shooting everyone up, illicit sex, assaults, adultery, fornication, drugs, stealing/robberies, kidnappings, beatings, uncontrolled anger, a myriad of extreme violence and rampant profanity. And this is during prime time!
You may say cite ratings are high for these programs. But consider perhaps you have desensitized people to what is right and wrong through them. Even some prime time game shows are highly risqué , full of distasteful and disgusting (to us & many) profanity (e.g. potty mouth Mom/Tell The Truth) and obviously suggestive questions asked. Some female game show hosts (e.g. Press Your Luck) ;wear extremely low/almost no necklines and show way too much cleavage. It’s more like a peep show than a good, clean game. One can dress attractively without being burlesque. It certainly sends a wrong message to our young women that being overtly sexy is okay.
My question to you is: How are you influencing our society and our children? Yes, parents should govern under age viewing, but many children watch these shows on their own and are not supervised. Are you influencing for good or not for good? What do you think your moral responsibility in programming truly is? When a populous receives a steady abundance of violence, profanity, overt sex, etc., impressionable, unstable, immature people see a steady diet of this garbage and they emulate it. (e.g. translated into violent (vs. peaceful) protests, daily uptake in crime & murders on our city streets, rising sexual diseases, etc.).
Bad network programming is only surpassed by what is probably your most lucrative but disgusting drug sponsors. First, you see mostly bad shows, then you hear about hemorrhoids, COPD, blood clots, psoriasis/skin diseases, diabetes, heart disease. athletes foot, cancer, and on and on it goes. (Not to diminish anyone’s problems/diseases whatsoever, but one usually has to see a Dr. for these things in most cases, who will prescribe medications appropriately). Out of a half hour, you get more depressing ad nauseum commercials along with political ads, than the actual programs themselves. In fact, we have noticed actual programming seems to be cut shorter and shorter to allow even more commercials.
How about all the networks start looking at your industry , upping your standards, and consider what people want – good, clean family friendly programming with good values (there are a few) that give hope?
