I have been coming to Wonderland for a minimum of 25 years. I have had wonderful experiences with my children and now my grandchildren. Today while dining at the Backlot Cafe, I experienced a situation that needs to be heard and adhered too! The Canadian burger outlet was serving us and I requested a takeout container. There were 3 younger gentlemen helping at the counter (very polite and courteous), and out of nowhere came this young heavier girl and said, we don’t do take out, in the most rudest manner. The young gents offered a plate and the girl took it and refused to give me one?? I asked her for the plate, and she might of as well thrown it at me. I was beyond disgusted with this attitude. I would give a receipt # but I purchased 6 (six) tickets with a single meal passes which was scanned at the registry.
Terrible service. Not recommended. They are not empathetic, professional and do not work in a good mood. They don’t make your day fun as an amusement park should be.

I went to Canada Wonderland for the 1st time today with my husband, nephew and 2 daughters age 7yr and 10yrs. The day started off great. We expected the long-queues and waited patiently for our turn at each ride. We had a break for lunch and later around 4pm decided to go on the Silver Streak and the wait was estimated to be an hour. After standing in the queue for a few minutes, my youngest daughter needed to go to the bathroom. I politely excused myself and my 2 girls from the queue to go to the bathroom while my husband and nephew waited. There was no assitant standing at the queue entrance when we left the queue. After a few minutes we returned and politely excused and said I had to take my girls to the bathroom and can we go through. There was one very rude old lady that said that is a poor excuse and the lady right in-front of her understood and said go through as she could see the 2 girls. Then the shock horror an absolute rudeness came from the Canada Wonderland staff, Tashin, that shouted on the ride intercom “”can we please stop as we are jumping the queue and customers are complaining”. I then shouted back that I took my girls to the bathroom. He said I should have read the sign before the ride as not allowed and I should ask permission to leave the line to go to the bathroom and then on my return they will allow me in. How on earth will that be enforced or monitored? Later the supervisor came (Mariah) to chat and ask me what happened as an incident was reported, and asked did I skip the queue? I explained that I took my girls to the toilet. I then told her that they need to give people a slip to show they were in the queue and left to the bathroom to give back to the assistant that should be always at the entrance of the rides.) After reading other comments on this website, unfortunately looks like that is how the staff treat patrons.

I was at the park on july 24 2019. I was accompanied by a friend with different abilities/special needs. We spent A LOT of time on the Leviathan. I just want to commend the team working there. The names Ashley, Nina, Nathan, Maulik, Prabh, are unfortunately all I can remember but they ALL deserve recognition for being EXTREMELY attentive, accommodating, understanding, compassionate, and empathetic. That was the best experience either one of us had ever had at any theme park and we owe it all to the wonderful, friendly and professional staff working there. Please forward this to your staff. ?
I went to wonderland theme park on October 20. The whole experience was dreadful especially for the price of the tickets and the fact that online and at the theme park the tickets were different and we ended up paying over 300 $ for all the fast passes. The haunts were not great, no one knew anything I asked and the food was old and crunchy. And the security at the front was really rude. The entire park was extremely unprofessional and I will be contacting the manager if I don’t get a reply to this email.
Last Saturday (Sept. 1, 2018) I took my 12-year daughter and her 11-year old friend to Canada’s Wonderland as a way of ending the summer and starting the new school year. In the morning, everything went very well: rides were good; people in lines were friendly; workers were courteous and helpful.
In the morning, we had decided to leave the highlight ride, Wind Seeker, for the end of the day as they had been told by their friends as being “a really quiet and peaceful ride“. (They had been going to Canada’s Wonderland during the summer but never felt brave enough to go on this ride.) So, we went to line up at the Wind Seeker before 7pm. After about 15 minutes standing in line, my daughter needed to go to the washroom. I didn’t want to let her go by herself, so I asked her friend to accompany her while I held, with their bags, our place in line. After about 5 minutes, I heard them calling me from the washroom side and telling me that a man stopped them and insisted that they go to the back of the line. When my daughter told him “mom is waiting there for us”, he said to them “She has to come and get you”. When I heard them screaming, I asked the people behind me to hold my place while I was getting my girls, and then went back to our spot. When the line turned, “manager” Matt went to the lady attendant who let people through the gates to the ride, pointed at me with his finger and told her something inaudible to me. Then, when I and the girls got to where the line turns, Matt told me that we were skipping lines and that we would have to go out of the ride. I tried to explain to him that we had been standing there from the beginning and that the girls had to simply go to the washroom, while he kept repeating “they have to go to bathroom before lining up”. I then asked him to let me talk to the manager to which he arrogantly replied “I am the manager”! He kept embarrassing me and the girls in front of a crowd of people repeating and repeating that we are line skippers and that this is “against policy”.
We didn’t skip lines. We never skip lines: not in Disney World, not in Marineland, not in Canada’s Wonderland – nowhere. In Canada’s Wonderland, though, we were punished for something we didn’t do and, as a result, deprived of experiencing the girls’ “dream ride”.
Almighty Matt feels he has the right to bully and embarrass a woman old enough to be his mother and her two little girls. He was repeating that we have to leave, so the girls got confused and scared. Matt made it a show to assert his authority and to embarrass me and the girls in front of the crowd. It’s beyond comprehension how such a rude person, with absolutely no people skills, can be in the employ of an organization whose existence relies on making people experience fun and joy. And, if true, to be promoted to manager?! (This guy has perfect skills to work as a KGB agent – cold, nasty, arrogant, black glasses after dusk… (One just like him was persecuting me in the ‘80s in the former Soviet Union.) After kicking us out, he was still standing there. Looking for the next victim?)
But the worst part is that I couldn’t explain to the girls why we were punished. On the way home they were crying and asking questions: Why were we not allowed to go to that ride? Why were you called line skipper? You didn’t even go to the bathroom…
We had planned to get season passes for next year because, until this incident, they loved this place so much. But now, unfortunately, we need to reconsider.
I hope this person’s actions are not condoned by your organization and do not go unpunished. Indeed, this kind of behaviour would never be tolerated in places like Disney World. (In our six annual visits to Disney World, we received nothing but kind, courteous help and service – starting from street cleaners to administrators!)
RE: Dockside Grill by Splash Works – Shawndre
I wanted to let you know how deeply I am disappointed with one of your staff member. My family and I are a season pass holder for the last 5 years and this is the fist time I have been very upset with your service.
Shawndre, young male guy grilling hotdog/sausage. I ordered a hotdog and a sausage on July 15, 2018 at around 6:00 pm. He was trying to serve a hotdog (cut in half) that’s been sitting on the counter before I even got there. He was adamant that I take that. I also ordered a sausage which he still has to cook. I asked him nicely if I can get the hotdog the same time as the sausage so my children can eat warm food. He was very rude and unfriendly. He refused to give me new hotdog. Finally when the sausage was cooked, at the time, we were arguing to give me a new hotdog. He ignored me and kept serving hotdog to other customers that have ordered after me. Finally, after another confrontation and a long wait, he gave me a new hotdog but the sausage was then cold.
I am paying the same as others and I deserve to at least have a decent warm food. This young man was very rude and very unhelpful. I hope I don’t have to experience the same immaturity level of service.
