 About C&A

C&A is a chain of fast-fashion retail stores, serving the largest markets of Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. The company has its head offices in Belgium, Vilvoorde, and Germany. This Belgian-German Dutch chain is a family of many popular brands, including Avanti, Angelo Litrico, Canda, Here+There, Clockhouse, Westbury, Rodeo, Yessica, and Your Sixth Sense. The parent company for C&A is Cofra Holding AG, which is owned by the Brenninkmeijer family, one of the wealthiest in the Netherlands. The foundation dates back to 1841 when two brothers laid the base for cotton and linen fabric business known as C&A Brenninkmeijer. Their first store opened in 1860, which marked the beginning of the empire that we witness today. By the 20th century, the company began to realize the demand for more choices in garments at an affordable cost. This is when C&A started using better production techniques to cater to a segment seeking affordable fashion. In no time, C&A pioneered the use of advertising and was in the market while introducing the staggering ability for their customers to be in power to return the goods after purchase. C&A steadily grew into one of Germany’s largest retailers and expanded throughout the twenty European countries as well as America and Brazil. In China, C&A currently competes with H&M and Zara. C&A recorded a revenue of 2.19 billion euros in 2019.

C&A is still a family company and stands by its commitment to putting people and the planet first. The founders are continuously in the process of reinventing the fashion that they make available to millions. C&A owns 1575 stores and welcomes more than 2 million people each day. The company is currently in the market with 20000 styles, which are categorized into 200 product groups. With 600 suppliers across 40 countries, the company employs 35000 people, including a good chunk of stylists and buyers. C&A has employed 350 designers, who work round the year to change the offerings on the shelves, and this is how the company keeps abreast with all the latest. Incidentally, C&A is also the largest supplier in the world for organically grown cotton clothes.

If you want to shop from C&A, you have two ways to do it. You can go to a store and purchase the latest C&A collection. The website has enabled its ‘store finder’ menu, which allows you to look for C&A stores in your proximity. If you do not want to hit the road, you can simply browse the collection in the comfort of your home and order what you love. The website lists all the items in categories for men, women, kids, and babies. Popular in the list include jackets, blazers, tshirts, trousers, jeans, tops, sweatshirts, shirts and kids clothing. You will also find a section for ‘sale’ which stocks the items on discount. Click on the item that you love, add it to your cart, and make payment. The website accepts payments for PayPal and all the major credit cards. For most locations, delivery takes anywhere between 5-7 business days. During checkout, you can see the delivery costs, options and timeframe. C&A accepts the return of unworn items within 30 days of purchase. You have to keep in mind that the returning cost has to be borne by the customer.
