My husband and I were at Busch Gardens today, February 6, 2022. There’s a man that came in at the same time that we did and his shirt was very vulgar. The shirt had a large letters.FUC* not only did staff not stop him, but they actually nodded to him. There’s a sign out front that talks about having vulgar sayings or speaking vulgarity in the park so I’m not sure how this happened? I know you need more people at park, but really!? There are a lot of kids at this park. we have a fun pass and a silver pass, so I will be going here a lot and hope to never see that again.
Visited your park with my family of seven on the 20th of July only to find that the sky ride and the congra river ride were not working. Waited in line for the Sheikra for over a hour only to be told that it was now broken also. Walked over to the flume ride and waited 45 minutes to be told it was not also working. I bought two refillable cups for over $45 and only one vendor out of four had ice. Warm drinks all day in 95 degree weather. No icee machines were working. Kids hot and sweaty and ready to leave shortly after arriving at the park. Very disappointing vacation.
I’m providing this feedback after visiting Busch Gardens on Monday, February 7th, 2022. We were already in Tampa and wanted something to do for the day. My sister and I had been to your theme park years ago so we decided to bring a couple of our friends there for the day. After visiting your website we noticed we could purchase tickets online which included all day dining. So we purchased 4 tickets for a total of $556.03 which included food, a beverage, and desert several times throughout the day plus an additional $30.00 to park.
Our first stop was a bakery (Sultan Sweets) in which the girl told us our wrist bands did not include their café. However, if we wanted a coffee we better get it there because no other place in the park had coffee. We decided to try the restaurant across from them (Zagora Café) only to find they did have coffee, hot chocolate, pie, brownies, and cookies which was included in our package deal. First mis- information told to us.
At the gate it showed three rides shut down. However as we walked throughout the park we noticed several of the rides were down and we were told for maintenance because it’s the off season. WHAT? Also when you purchase your tickets online it doesn’t tell you the entertainment shows are closed on Monday. The only show that was available to see was the Moroccan ice skating show. We also noticed the bird area was closed and we were told the birds were sleeping. REALLY.
According to your website it shows the park is open till 8pm. At about 4pm as we were heading into the Moroccan to see the ice show we seen a sign that says the park closes at 6pm. We asked one of your groundskeeper and they confirmed the park closes at 6pm. I think this is something that’s important and should be clearly stated at the time of ticket purchase. Nowhere on your website did it state the park closes at 6pm.
Finally, we were told our wrist food bands were good up to 1 hour before the park closes. So, we left the Moroccan ice skating show early so we could catch dinner before leaving the park. We got to Zambia Smokehouse at 5:05 and it was all cleaned up and closed. Not to mention the lunch we got earlier in the day at Dragon Fire Grill was awful. Luke warm Asian food and cold chicken strips and waffle fries. So overall, I would say the entire experience was awful and disappointing to say the least.
July 2021: Took my daughter and her friend for a day at the park. arrived at 10:30am. It said reservations required, but people were flowing in without limits. The lines were 70-120 minutes and the kids were able to ride 1 ride before they wanted to leave. We left and came back later to see Summer Nights. After the show, my kids were verbally attacked by some unsupervised group of kids. I called customer service and they told me to go back to the park and try to contact the manager, and I left a review about the situation and NOTHING! I admit, I was unable to return to the park the next day, but no excuse for this. My daughter cried has been so upset about this situation, I doubt she will want to go back. Such a disgrace that this can occur and Busch Gardens will not even contact or acknowledge this incident.
I spent almost $300 in tickets for one day, I was only able to get on a total of 2 roller coasters the entire day because they shut them down due to wind. I bought the all day dining pass and was only able to get through once to get food after waiting two hours in line so it really wasn’t even worth it. After all the roller coasters were shut down I was left aimlessly wandering around the park for hours half of everything is closed all the little kiosks are not opened only two areas to eat in the entire park. I really ended up just leaving the park because there was nothing to do and after countless times on hold for 45 minutes at a time I was abruptly hung up on after being told to leave a call back number and I never got a call back or an email. Disappointment is not even the word to describe my experience, it would be nice if somebody from the park and guest services would reach out to me but the fact that I’ve been ignored is a freaking disgrace I spent my hard-earned money on that useless trip it’s just such a let-down.
Hello. I just wanted to let you know what your guest went through at busch gardens tampa yesterday. We arrived at the park after 2 hours of trying to turn into the parking lot. There was a 3 hours standing line to follow. The trams weren’t running. There were tens of thousands of people with no masks in a mob with one employee yelling over the crowd. One restroom in a pet kennel to share. People were urinating between cars. The employees thought that was laughable. One teenager taking temps for Thousands of people. Touching foreheads with the same device without cleaning. My brother was yelled at to empty his pockets 5 different times. His pockets were turned out and empty. They insisted he continue to empty them, and told him “look at the camera!”.. They went through my bag and then threw it down on a different table, open and spilling and walked away. My elderly grandmother was under the impression there would be some sort of capacity limit since we had to make reservations. They didnt check reservations. People were just going in. Thousands upon thousands. We could barely move in there. Half the people wore masks. We purchased the meal pass with our tickets. It took almost 3 hours to get a meal. And when we finally got to order, the employees thought it was funny to say he doesnt speak English….for 10 hours we struggled to do anything fun. We went on one ride… hundreds of dollars spent for one ride.
Ive been to this park many times.. summer, weekends, spring breaks, and ive never seen anything like this. These are not complaints of a busy theme park. This was complete mayhem much of it illegal and in front of children. 3 of us were there for the military wave of honor but we were treated like garbage. The rest of my family paid 139$ a piece for this. I am trying to assume this was some sort of glitch in your system as i cant believe a company would knowingly have people pay money for this. It was one of the worst days of my life.
Today is July 17 2019 and I just left busch gardens very dissatisfied. I purchased 4 tickets with all day dining which was a waste of time and money. I drove 15 hours from Arkansas just to go to this theme park. I was there 5 hours and was only able to ride 3 rides due to technical difficulties with the other rides including the new ride the tigres and several others. After the fourth ride was closed due to technical difficulties while we were in line we just left. I’ve been to several different theme parks and have never experienced one ride after another being closed due to technical difficulties. How is your brand new ride having problems already? The food service was extremely slow. I waited in line for 20 minutes for ice cream with only about 4 people ahead of me and not a single person had been checked out. The employees had no sense of urgency so I just left without purchasing any ice cream. I went to two different vendors for a simple drink and was told there machines were down. The employees working the rides were very rude and seem miserable just to be there. Busch gardens is the worst theme park I have ever been to and I will never go back or recommend this theme park.
Good evening
My family and I will be holidaying in Florida in May and we would like to pay a visit to Busch Gardens.
I wondered if there are some days which are quieter than others, or any days which you would recommend we come.
Thank you in anticipation.
Kind regards
Donna Sleight
I am a long time annual pass holder. My reason for continuing to renew is the Real Music Series. I was horrendously disappointed today to arrive and find that you process for the series has changed and you are no longer distributing passes to attend. That meant that my leisurely walk through the park, enjoying the animals and stopping for snacks has been replaced by standing in line for an absurd length of time. I’m unable to understand the reason this change was made since you’re reducing your revenue at concession stands. I am now sorry that I purchased my pass this year and will not be renewing next year unless your process goes back to the successful way you ran the program previously.
Second message mostly to express my disappointment that I never received a reply to my first comment. I have family from N.Y. visiting next month and had planned to spend a day at your park. But, this no reply to me, proves you are not the “family friendly park” you are supposed to represent. Extremely VERY disappointed that I did not get a response from you. Debra Flanagan
Dec. 23,2018 I entered the park with two 6 yr old grandchildren. My daughter, her husband, and 2 yr joined us app. 6:10p.m. They joined us between the entrance and the flamingos sitting drinking hot chocolate. The 2 yr old was taken out of her stroller where as she fell and hit front of her head VERY hard. First aid was notified to bring ice for her “goose egg” on her forehead. Paperwork was filled out and pictures were taken. Being she has a medical history of hospitalization due to seizures resulting from being born a preemie at 2 pounds and a few ounces, our concern was to leave immediately to go home and decide if medical attention was required. Glad to say she is fine. Parking fee was and ticket fee results in a lot for 2 vehicles and 5 tickets. Our attention, that evening was on my granddaughter, Isabella Romero. Now I am thinking that we might be able to receive rain checks with parking fee included to use at another date. Thank you for your response Debra Flanagan
Hi I have tried to reach out to customer care phone they advised me that this was the way to do it. I was rained out on July 20th 2018 and would love to go back when I am in Florida again in 2020. We waited in lines that rides kept closing because of lightning and just stuck under shelters waiting for rain to die down. Did also purchase meal plans that were not used. The time we went to the renter aunt to dry off we waited 30 min to get food and no place to sit inside we went outside to wet tables and as we all put our food down the rain just started pouring again we were in a group it was rediculous our food got rained on and was garbage I ended up buying chips and funnel cake. Then went to another stand and they told me I could only order certain items so again ended up buying other food. Honestly wasted my time and money already with rental car and hotel for the night just to go to bush gardens with my kids and family friends. I remember my experience at bush gardens when I was a child and I loved it.
