About Boston Duck Tours
Contrary to one’s first impression, Boston Duck Tours are not about feeding ducks on River Charles in Massachusetts. It is a privately owned company that operates sightseeing tours of the historical attractions in Boston. Why duck then, one might wonder? They use replicas of amphibious DUKW vehicles that are relics of World War II. Started in 1994, Boston Duck Tours combine education, history and a lot of fun and serves over 600,000 people every year – locals and tourists alike.

Tours create great excitement because of the unique DUKW vehicles. What creates greater laughter are the legendary tour ConDUCKtors or guides, each with a unique code name and imaginary and fun secret. The tour covers all the famous sites of Boston – The State House, Boston Common, Newbury Street, Quincy Market and many more attractions. Just when you think the tour has gotten as interesting as it can get, you’ll get the surprise of your life. The DUKW vehicles prove that they are amphibious by splashing into the Charles River and takes you on a tour that shows you scenic Boston and Cambridge.

Tours either depart from and return to the Prudential Centre and the Museum of Science or depart from and return to the New England aquarium. Each tour lasts 80 minutes and covers around 30 plus famous and historical sights. Tickets cost $ 42.99 for adults, $34.99 for Seniors who are 62+ and active military personnel and $ 28.99 for children between ages 3 and 11. For infants and children below the age of 3, the ticket costs $10.50. Visit the website for current rates.

Purchasing a ticket offers you great benefits and discounts too. Ticket holders get a free weekday tour of Harvard or MIT, or a 50% discount for weekend tours of Harvard or MIT. It also lets you avail of Free Tea Tasting at the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, which otherwise costs $5. With your ticket, you will get a coupon booklet that entitles you to hundreds of dollars of savings when you shop at local stores and eateries, and a guidebook with lots of interesting tidbits of information and some great savings too. Be sure to check out the group packages and combo savings pack for great deals.

Boston Duck tours adhere to strict safety standards and collaborate with the US Coast Guard, Department of Public Utilities, Boston Hackney Division and Department of Transportation to ensure 100% safety. The DUKW vehicles are replicas and are well maintained and in perfect running condition so as to make the tours informative, enjoyable and safe.
