I bought a Better Homes & Gardens 13.7 gal Touchless Dual Sensor Kitchen Garbage Can a year ago, I did not realize the battery covers fell out until the trash was long gone. I spent over two hours trying to contact BHG for replacement battery cover with no luck whatsoever. Want a magazine – no problem, have an issue with one of the household products you are totally out of luck apparently. I even tried to get Walmart to help and they told me they were not able to get in touch with BHG!
I bought a Better Home and Gardens patio set a number of years ago. The plastic disintegrated. Seriously, The plastic became brittle and simply broke apart. Granted I purchased the set years ago but it has been indoors in a protected environment. What a waste of money. I did not know that this furniture had an expiration date! Additionally, the only telephone number to complain was the magazine subscription number. Very poor quality and very poor business practice. Man, I searched this commentary for any response from Home and Garden and found only complaints about the product, no response.
I tried to purchase 3 different times Better Homes and Gardens patio furniture through Walmart. A complete nightmare. They charge your credit card but keep you hanging until you get frustrated and cancel when there is no end in sight for delivery. One delivery said pick your order up and you drive miles to pick it up and they claim it isn’t there. Then again you end up cancelling. They have the nerve to hold on to your money another month. Sounds like a scam to me. Never again. Walmart is only good for cash and carry… why would Better Homes and Gardens hook their wagon to such a star?
I bought 2 fan, humidifier, heater combo towers. One was purchased about six months ago and I enjoyed it while it was working, then it kept giving me an F2 code while beeping and shutting off and would even beep and give the code after it is turned off. I tried for days to trouble shoot and clean it then decided just to get another one (I thought it was sad that it didn’t even last six months but maybe it was a fluke). I bought my second one today and after 1 minute of use it shot sparks out the front almost causing a fire in my living room (I was close to it and stomped out the sparks that were in my carpet). I called the phone number and the person I talked to seemed to not really care and gave me an email address to send a proof of purchase and other things to be reviewed. I decided to just take the product back to the store and never again buy an electrical product from Better Home and Garden because I can’t trust it to not burn down my home while asleep or not standing next to it.
I just spoke with customer support for Better Homes and Garden. I was told that the January/February, a combined issue, isn’t going out till the beginning of February. That is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard of. I have been a subscriber with Better Homes and Garden for over 30 years. I got my love for the magazine from my mother who was a subscriber for over 50 years up until her death in 2020. That is really poor business and I would like a supervisor or manager, someone with a management position to explain exactly why this is. Getting the January portion of the magazine the following month does absolutely no good for your subscribers. I’m definitely posting this information and my disappointment to how Better Homes and Gardens magazine seems to handle their subscribers, purposely sending out an issue a month late with no explanation what so ever. The customer survive rep, while polite, had no answer for me nor did she suggest that a manager would get back to me. I’m seriously considering of canceling my subscription.
Looking for Warm Fireside Flurries candles. They’re my favorites. Anyone know why BH&G discontinued them? I’ve tried every store near me, tried Amazon too.
I bought a better Homesand garden metal fan. Thinking lol that it would last for years Purchased 5/20/21 si Walmart will not refund my money or exchange I will not be wasting my money ever again on better homes and garden products I can tell you that.
Purchased 3 BH&G 9.4 inch battery lanterns. Looked nice for only 1 summer season! Then nothing..I dont know why they only lasted 1 Summer! I even took them down from outside, took the batteries out and stored them in for the winter. But when I took them out the following summer and put new batteries in, they just didn’t work. So very annoying that something I paid $30 only worked for a few months.
I purchased your 7×10 ft. outdoor carpet at Walmart. Why in the world would you sew and glue a label so large on the carpet, I took me over a half an hour to get this off. Now I have torn threads on my new carpet, because it was sewn so tight. Very FRUSTRATING!!
I had almost the exact same problem that is listed above. I purchased a 7 X 10 outdoor carpet at Walmart. The Better Homes and Garden label was PART OF THE RUG and below the sticker was an enormous BALD SPOT! I don’t want a refund I want a REPLACEMENT because it’s a beautiful rug otherwise!

I purchased two of your better home and gardens candle. The rainy spring day 17oz and the lemon basil 17oz.
What a waste of money. Each was $5.97 plus tax. The scent can only be smelled while the candles aren’t lit and you hold to your nose. I have purchased many of candles from Walmart and Target as well as Bath&body Works but never had such a bad experience as I did on Saturday. After burning each candle for over a hour nothing of the aroma I had envisioned nothing at all actually. I don’t know how your candles are made but it’s time to go back to the basics. I would like a refund because I enjoy most of your products just not this one.

I am sick and tired of TV shows giving the public incorrect information.
In the aired show 12/07/19 in Brisbane that fool carpenter showed how to build a letter box using marine ply as the base. HOW WRONG THAT IS. It is call marine ply because of solid ply core not because it is waterproof. Marine ply is made from low external durability timber and will rot. Marine ply when used on boats are covered with fibreglass making it waterproof. The fool carpenter should be using H3/H4 treated plywood to stop rot.
Do the research, ring the Plywood association, whatever but don’t air a fool carpenter giving the wrong information.
People like myself (a real carpenter) are constantly fixing the handyman jobs that go wrong because they watched Better homes/ The block and others who do not research correctly and take the word of a fool carpenter.
Why is it impossible to make an address change on my subscription online? I am trying to do this so I will not miss any issues. This has been frustrating to say the least!
