Bangkok National Museum is a popular tourist attraction in Bangkok, Thailand. It was built in 1782 and is situated in the former Royal Palace. The art and archaeology museum was built on the instructions of King Rama IV to maintain his private collections of antiques. The museum is open from 9am to 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday. The admission fee for non-Thais is 200 Baht. Tickets can be purchased at the booth found at the entrance. There are free guided tours conducted on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
