About Ayutthaya Historical Park
Ayutthaya Historical Park is a popular tourist destination, located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Thailand. With just 70kms distance from Bangkok, the Ayutthaya reveals the ruins of temples and palaces of the ancient Ayutthaya Kingdom. What is seen is the ruins after the invasion by Burmese in 1767. The Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.

The Ayutthaya Historical Park comprises of four temples. They include Wat Phra Ram, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mahathat, Wat Ratchaburana and Wiharn Phra Mongkol Bophit. Spread across 289 ha,  it also houses three palaces – the Grand Palace (Wang Luang), Chandra Kasem Palace (Wang Na) and Rear Palace (Wang Lang). Ayutthaya is well connected with Bangkok. You can take a train, bus, river boat or even taxi. Admission to the Park is free. However, visitors might have to pay for entrance to the temples.
