About Auckland Transport
Auckland Transport is the organisation responsible for road and public transport in Auckland. Founded in 2010, the council-controlled organisation formerly operated as the Auckland Regional Transport Authority. I would like to congratulate the guard and driver on the train to Swanson today about 13.00.
At the Mt Albert stop the young guard noticed a young man was lying down on the platform and immediately asked if he was alright. I was unable to hear the conversation but it was obvious that he was unwell and unable to use his phone to call for assistance . The driver was informed of the reason for the delay and also came to assess the situation. They were calm and professional in assessing the situation and kept passengers informed of the delay while looking after the Ill young man. A replacement train was sent when it became obvious that we the passengers would be some what delayed in our journey , the guard was calm and helped passengers exit the train and with a simple explanation as to why.
