Please refund me because I came all the way from home to check in the hotel (Mareni parade ) they told me you canceled my booking without telling me I had to pay cash from my packet please refund me as soon as possible
I booked a hotel room in Bali paying $544 Australian Dollars through Amoma, however when we arrived at the hotel they told us that there was no evidence of our accomodation being booked/that it had been cancelled and informed us that we would have to re-book and re-pay the amount to secure a room. Amoma has NOT refunded us the $544 yet – DO NOT BOOK FROM THIS WEBSITE if you don’t want to be scammed.
I am currently trying to contact them ……. so far without success. If anyone could please tell me.It’s really important to me, I really need the lost money and trying to get it in every way possible.
I got an email about the closing of the company and the cancellation of my bookings. Sorry But you should have informed us about this situation. I need to make arrangements immediately. Also I have paid for both bookings. Is the company going to send me back my money? I need answers.
I made a booking for accommodation in CPT yesterday, using Amoma.com. When I got to the payment stage the card was declined, but the money was authorized. No confirmation received from Amoma and no trace of booking at the hotel???
I just called a hotel to confirm my booking for next weekend for our anniversary only to be told it was cancelled. I booked this in February and paid in full. I am now trying to recover my money only to find out they have ceased trading. I will never book on line again with a third party. Book only with the hotel directly. This is really unprofessional and bloody annoying. No email to let me know or anything. Lucky I rang the hotel or we would of been out the street ! Not happy. But lesson learned.
Amoma appear to be able to operate a very lucrative scamming business. I recently booked an hotel in Northern lreland through this thieving company. They dishonestly took money from my credit card booked the hotel and then cancelled the booking shortly before I checked in. The hotel in question confirmed same and were able to show me the cancellation email.l would also advise to stay away from TRIVAGO as it was their website who who lured me in. I would strongly recommend when booking an hotel to contact the hotel directly and thus avoid getting scammed.
Hi everyone
Seems their actual email is: [email protected]
I have been speaking with Amoma about trying the get a refund for an incorrect booking. They said on the phone call 5 mins after the incorrect booking that they cancelled it but I returned home to see Amoma have withdrawal over $700 NZD from my credit card. The actual hotal had cancelled the booking. Nothing happens and they don’t respond or ring me back. When searching for an email address, I came across all of your comments about similar subjects. I’m trying the above address to see if I can get some traction.
Booking ID: 50691713.
Booking was for 7 nights stay.
I telephoned your company on Tuesday 13th to cancel booking.
The hotel Park Royal say they can not cancel only you can (Amoma). I telephoned Park Royal and they want you to contact them, to cancel this booking. I did stay 1 night 12th Nov.
Please, can you help me. I am going backwards and forwards and getting no where with is.
Thank you
I booked a hotel in Hawaii in January 2018 and paid the first night accommodation by credit card. The payment went through and I did not receive any confirmation from you. My brother who booked the same night at the same hotel received a confirmation . I contacted the hotel and they have no booking. This booking was for my nephew’s wedding. The hotel is now booked out and we have no accommodation. Booking was for Aug 5-12. Please refund the deposit unless you can confirm our booking.
Amoma the worst! they ripped me off after i booked an hotel for Rio, it was in US, they made me pay almost $100 more saying the reason was because i booked in a different country where my bank was located(it is in NYC, the money is in U$) ! Also, they REFUSED to change the name of my friend which was on a voucher by mistake- she was arriving later than I, saying to put my name on it, I had to rebook and repay!!!! The problem is i could not stay in this hotel unless she was there. BIG RIPOFF, DISHONEST!!!!!! IF YOU LOOK AROUND, YOU’LL SEE LOTS OF COMPLAINTS!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
Having received my booking confirmation for a 1 night stay in a London hotel through Amoma I was shocked to be told upon arrival at the hotel that my room had been double booked and was unavailable.
The cost was reimbursed but being unable to find another room after the concert I was attending, beyond my belief, I was forced to spend the entire night walking the streets of London unsuccessfully looking for another room.
As of yet, despite constant trying, I have been unsuccessful in directly contacting Amoma.
The was a frightening and dangerous and experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE AND DO NOT EVER BOOK A HOTEL THROUGH AMOMA.
I have being trying to get in contact with you and having non luck. I booked a hotel for the 16th of June. I got no conformation back. The hotel has said its not booked yet the money is gone from my account. Can you get in touch please.
Msry
I, too, clicked the pop-up for Save the Deals at the end of my Amoma booking and was charged $38 instead of $1 by a site called coffee-box.It. Fortunately my bank noticed the charge and contacted me to say it was a fraudulent site. They saved me from being ripped off but have had to cancel my card and issue a new one. Now I have the unnecessary task of contacting all of the sites with which I have established a direct debit and changing all my credit card details. Be very aware of this site!
I was booking an hotel in Malta, and I had chosen a Double Room for the price of 525EUR. I input the credit card details and confirmed, and got an email saying “Your reservation for the Double Room is almost completed, please input the credit card details again”. I contacted the bank and found out that the payment was processed and my money was taken. So, I had paid but I did not have a confirmation email of the booking.
I contacted the customer centre -international call at my expenses- and the operator told me that the room was not available anymore and I could have chosen either to pay more or to get a single room at the same price. No other option was given. I told the operator that my booking was for a Double Room but she offered me the Single Room, which I had to accept.
Then I found out that, just few minutes after, the same Double Room I had booked was still available at the same price, 525EUR, so I contacted the Customer Care service through the chat system. They told me they would have checked with the hotel.
Few days later I received an email saying that if I wanted to upgrade my reservation to a Double Room -as originally chosen- the price would have been 699EUR and I had to pay the difference. From their website, the price of a Double Room to book was now 532EUR.
I told them I am willing to pay the difference of 7EUR to get a Double Room, but I am now made aware that I could have opted for a refund [which was never offered by the operator during the first conversation] therefore I have either to pay 699EUR or keep my Single Room.
I believe that since my choice was forced by a lack of information -the refund was never mentioned by the operator- and since the room is available at a small difference in price, the Company should review their position since I have been forced to accept an inferior room without having the full options.
In January I reserved a room at the Hotel Indigo in Chicago through AMOMA.COM. I called the hotel two days in advance of check-in to confirm the reservation and was told our booking company had been informed the rooms were no longer available and they would be finding us a new hotel. I “chat boxed” AMOMA.com and was told they didn’t know anything about it. The hotel manager then gave me the number of JacTravel, explaining that this company is their direct contact and that JacTravel works with AMOMA.com. After speaking with a helpful person at JacTravel, I finally received an e-mail from AMOMA.com with a proposal: I could either take a full refund or a new hotel reservation at a different hotel.
I chose the hotel, trusting it would be similar to what I had booked in the first place. I received the voucher at 11:52 a.m. on Thursday the 15th. Later that SAME day I cancelled the reservation after reading many terrible reviews and seeing photos of rooms which looked neither safe nor clean. My voucher showed an option for “Cancel Your Booking…easily and instantly.” The booking cancellation was done at 3:52 Thursday the 15th. When I clicked on “cancel” I was informed I would lose half the amount of my booking – which I willingly chose to do rather than risk a bad experience at the hotel.
My “confirmed cancellation,” has now SOMEHOW MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED FROM MY ONLINE AMOMA ACCOUNT. Fortunately, I made a copy for my records which I can supply if requested.
To date, AMOMA.com has refused any sort of refund. I contacted JacTravel and they said they were “escalating it to their customer care department.” I have had no further word from them despite repeated attempts to contact them via e-mail and phone. What I would appreciate is either a refund of half (as the policy promised) or a respectful, reasonable explanation as to why the policy does not apply in my case. Nowhere on the reservation does it say “non-refundable” nor was that stated in AMOMA’s e-mail offer to me.
Hi
I tried booking a hotel in KL yesterday. Went right up to the payment stage. The booking declined, however, the amount of $90.00 was authorized.
Can you please advise how I can get that refunded?
Ref 43146039
Booking ref 241-354471
WHY was full amount debited on booking?
And also WHY was there an across border amonunt
debited to my credit card?
I am furious about your hidden method of booking.
Had I known this I would not have touched Amoma!,
I await some explanation.
Thank you
Mrs Lesley Shipper

I’m trying to contact you as I ticked the pay by PayPal button so I didn’t need to go hunt my purse to pay by card. I used a 5% voucher code which worked saving me £7.95 so I was horrified to see on my booking that I was charged £6.03 for using paypal which wipes out the voucher code I used. Raging and couldn’t find an email address to contact you only a swizz number which would probably cost more than the money I should have saved. Transparency is not your middle name, that’s for sure. Let’s hope my booking is real
Your site was very good, but the hotel was disgusting very poor, how do I let you know fully booking was 38099507 blair victoria London, room was damp, mould growing, lack of continental breakfast, mould on shower curtain, holes on walls with boards on, photos were taken, I am sure this is something you would not want to be associated with, pictures on line are not of this hotel, dining room not big enough you had to queue and breakfast was watered down juice and cereal and cold toast, not a continental breakfast.
I rang yesterday (8/12/17) about my dealings with your site and the pop up that came after i paid for my reservation. It was from SaveTheDeals – they said if i paid $1 I could get $35 off my stay. I foolishly did this… thinking I might get lots of offers from Amoma – but no … when i looked at my bank statement (for the time I paid the $1) i saw a $36.59 was taken from my account (not $1) and it was noted as Coffee-Box-It, Paris – a totally different name to Amoma or SaveTheDeals. I am very upset as this is such deception and a rip-off. Your site is obviously a bit suspicious too I fear to include this at the end of your booking process. In my concern for this rip-off I rang my accommodation and apparently it is noted in their computers; so i could stop panicking. Can you tell me why this stupid site of SaveTheDeals comes up after paying for my stay by PayPal – Never booking with your company again in case more rip-offs. I have sent two emails to SaveTheDeals – and of course no reply. I tried to phone them and they did not answer after almost 30 mins, so I gave up. I look forward to some answers please.
