I bought a Home Theater from Philips. It went bad after a few years of service. I have taken it to the Authorized service center in Bangalore for repair. After about 15 days, they informed me that they can not repair it as parts were not available. But, they said they would give me decent discount if I exchange. I was OK with that! But, that was 6 months back! I have been regularly following up with the a Philips Marketing manager. Every time I get a reply that the model I selected would be available in the ‘next couple of weeks’. It has been extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, I do not have the contact details to escalate.
I had brought a Philips DVD and within less than a year it started giving problem like disc not reading. I tried to find for the service center but couldn’t find one.Even the one that they displayed on the Philips website was wrong. Its really the very bad product as well as very bad service. I will recommend people not to go for Philips products.
I got Philips CTV 29PT 5507 on Dec 2007 in Mysore,unfortunately it is not working since one month,service person told that picture tube failed.Many of CTVs from other make are still working for more than 15 yrs,even my other onida make also from 12 yrs .
I gave my Home Theatre System for repair on 9th Jan 2012, and though I have an AMC ith Philips, till date i have not recieved any update from philips service center … evrytime when i call i get an update that they are waiting for the replacement of the part …even if the part has to be imported from US, 2 months is good enough. However, Philips could not get the part even in 2 months from PUNE …..
WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVERV FACED AND STILL WAITING FOR MY PROBLEM RESOLUTION ……
Philips after sale service is pathetic. Even after 17 days they are not even have the complete detail. They are just passing the buck. Useless team and service center. Even after calling them regularly they just says we will do ASAP. Government office is much better that Philips after sales. They are unprofessional and hopeless. Best Joke” They called me for giving me the details and when i asked give me your superiors number then they said IT IS LUNCH TIME SO I CANT GIVE YOU THE NUMBER OR CANT CONNECT YOU TO THEM”
My Advice dont ever ever purchase anything from Philips India.

I had purchased a DVD player (Model D573).Now there has been some problem with the CD. I had called up customer care, they have sent the request to Ghaziabad service center, Mr Gajraj (service engineer) visited my home to repair the same. He checked the DVD but was not sure about the cause of the problem. I was just wondering how your engineer was not sure about the actual problem? As per my opinon he was not fully trained in DVD repairing. Please let me know if Philips has trained engineers to repair DVDs and how long would it take to repair my system?
I bought a DVD player recently from Royal Images. It is now not working and I have called the customer care several times, but no response.

I had purchased a television when I was posted in Ranchi. Now there has been some problem with the audio. I had called up the service centre and they gave me a complaint number (PRAI 1101120012) Unfortunately it is almost 48 hours now and there has been no reponse. I called up the custaomer care again and they said that it is still going to take more time. I was just wondering how long. I have recently been posted here and have little contacts in this city. Please let me know how long would it take for somebody from the company to attend the small problem. Sorry for bothering you.

I have given a DVD for repair at your service centre. Till today they are not reparing the unit or telling me the problem even after fifteen days.I have purchased philips just because of your good previous after sale service. But now no good service as well competent person to sort out the problem. People are also not responding to queries. If this is the case i have no option but to stop buying your product.Now i am having all products of your brand in my home. If customer service is not improved, I might stop using your products.
I purchased last year 24inch lcd tv from City Baroda.The piece has been found defective and company has promised to replace the same since last two months. Recently i got promised from Philips service center that it will be replaced. But no progress.
