My partner recieved a lenove lap top as part of her mobile phone deal. The lap top was faulty so we sent it back for repair a couple of months ago. I have been ringing up every week to check the progress of the repair. The people I spoke to assured me…every time, that it either had been repaired or was about to be repaired. This was clearly untrue as I have yet to recieve it.
I rang yesterday asking to speak to a supervisor and was told someon would ring me either yesterday afternoon or this morning. I did not recieve a call! I rang again this afternoon and complained about the shabby treatment I have recieved and eventually someone rang me from lenovo and ‘assured’ me that someone had already called me. This, again, was patently untrue as I recieved no call at that time.
Exasperated, I asked for a cheque for the value of my lap top so that I could just go and buy a replacement. The person who had just lied to me about calling me then said that there was no way I would get the value of my lap top in order to replace it. He did, however, state that I would get my lap top back when it had been repaired. (I had been told on at least two occasions previously that my lap top was either already fixed and on it’s way to me, or that it would be fixed and back with me in a few days. This was weeks ago). He even had the gall to tell me that Lenovo would repair my computer for free as a good will gesture!
Is there any way that I could encourage Lenovo to return my lap top? I’ve been without it now for several months and, quite frankly, I’m tired of being lied to and given the run around. If Lenovo have no intention of returning my lap top it would be only right and decent of them to tell me so, instead of telling their call centre staff tell me lies about return delivery dates.
Has anyone else been treated like this from this company?
Yes i purchased idea tab and there are problems with its compatability with norton rand. Took it back to pc world but will never deal with them again, disgraceful.
I’ve got a G550 lenovo laptop – I got it in July 2011, and the keyboard is absolutely terrible. Every time I try and type something the text leaps about all over the place – ie, I’ll be typing away and then suddenly the end of the sentence has inserted itself in the middle of the first sentence – if that makes any sense. My husband and my friends have also used my laptop and experienced the same problem. It is absolutely infuriating to the extent that I try and use my husband’s mac for long e-mails or any word processing as trying to do it on this thing is so inefficient. Terrible product, am not happy.
I purchased a Lenovo portable computer for my husband that was defective. I purchased the machine on 5 May 2011 from B.F.C. Informatique, 111 rue Lamarck, 75018 Paris, France. B.F.C. They recommended the machine. Not long after the purchase we noticed that the exterior of the portable began to crack (B.F.C. saw this as well). But the machine continued to function properly. We never took the machine out of the house except to bring it to the vendor (B.F.C.) and we treated it gently and we would like to think that B.F.C. treated it gently as well.. However in March 2012, the machine stopped working. We brought to B.F.C. who said that the crack that had started on the exterior had now spread to the screen.
The vendor spoke by telephone with Lenovo and he was told (according to what he told us) that the portable was almost definitely covered by the guaranty and if not for a very small amount (at most)the machine could be fixed. The vendor told us to send it to Lenovo. So we took it ourselves to Saint Witz (France). The voyage of course was costly, but we felt secure. At Saint Witz, France we were told that there were other machines which were manufactured with defects. They also told us that within 5 days we would have a completely fixed machine returned to us. However we received nothing and heard nothing. So we had to chase after the people who were supposed to fix the machine. When we finally located them, they told us -incorrectly- that they had e mailed us and telephoned us. But we received neither an e mail nor a telephone message. This is very poor service.
Finally we received a report saying that it would cost practically as much as the purchase of the machine to fix the computer (388 euros verse 430). This is totally unacceptable and contradicts completely everything what the vendor B.F.C. told us as well what B.F.C. said Lenovo told him, as well as what we were told at Saint Witz. . Added to all this we took the added expense of delivering the machine plus the poor service we received from Lenovo.
It is now quite some time that our machine is not working. Kindly completely redress this situation in every way immediately.
ThinkPad Tablet 10 is not available in my country. I checked it in Malaysia, couldn’t get. Its available in UK. I will be visiting UK next month from 18 August. Can you please inform me whether a 3g version ( so that I can use a SIM card) is available in UK or not? And for tourist do you include VAT or its exempted? I am very much interested to get one as I like your products and at present using Yoga Pro 2. Please let me know over e mail. Thanks
I’ve just bought this G505 brand new this month (August 2015) – OR SO I THOUGHT only to discover that the Warranty expired in December 2014 THAT’S A BIT ROTTEN.
How do I reinstate any Warranties? Of course the seller has vanished into the ether.
GET THIS BLOODY SORTED!
Hopefully I now have Lenovo’s attention….
Re: OID 12211203962 Return (KMM59553162V80916L0KM)
LITTLE DID I KNOW YOUR REPUTATION ON SERVICE STINKS – THIS CONFIRMS IT:
15/9 informed Lenovo of a return
17/9 received reply instructing me to inform Lenovo of details of computer
17/9 sent details back immediately.
21/9 phoned Lenovo to say have not heard back
21/9 received email instructing me that I will receive instructions of pick up – WHAT A JOKE
25/9 phoned Lenovo as had not heard back
25/9 then received pick up instruction via email from Lenovo informing me of details and that will be picked up in 2 days.
29/9 Now today UK Mail turn up with wrong consignment number and will not take computer – my instructions from your email is that UK Parcelforce was to pick up. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME A WRONG COLLECTION COMPANY HAS TURNED UP. FIRST TWO TURNED UP UNANNOUCED WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATION FROM LENOVO.
I HAVE NOW SPOKEN TO CUSTOMER SERVICES TO SORT IT OUT AND INFORMED THEY CANNOT GUARANTEE WHEN IT WILL BE PICKED UP. YOU ARE A BLOODY GLOBAL ORGANISATION AND YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE SHIT.
I have read that once received Lenovo will initiate a refund that could take another 7 – 14 DAYS BEFORE MONEY RECEIVE IN MY ACCOUNT!
This takes me to AT LEAST October 7th – 14TH.
THAT WILL BE AT LEAST FOUR BLOODY WEEKS FROM THE DATE I FIRST CONTACTED YOU. YOU HAVE MY MONEY AND I WANT IT BACK.
I WAS GOING TO BUY A MORE EXPENSIVE LENOVO. I HAVE NOW SEEN ON YOUR WEBSITE THE SILVER 15″ YOGA 2 FLEX IS NOW NOT AVAILABLE.
YOU HAVE WASTED MY TIME WITH YOUR PATHETIC SERVICE AND WILL NOW HAVE TO SPEND FURTHER TIME RESEARCHING OTHER LAPTOPS.
YOUR SERVICE IS THE WORST AND MOST FRUSTRATING I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED I WILL ENSURE I TELL EVERYONE.
IF I DO NOT RECEIVE MY REFUND BY END OF BUSINESS MONDAY OCTOBER 5TH I WILL BE WAITING AT YOUR OFFICES IN READING (WHICH ARE ONLY 90 MINS. AWAY) AT 8AM.
Lenovo tell lies on the website about delivery – it says “dispatch in 1 – 2 days, we have more than 10 in stock” but after you order you find it is going to be weeks as they are made to order in China and not “in stock”
I called to find out what is going on and cannot get anyone to tell the truth
Disgracefull
I had the most horrible experience with a Technical Support service ever!!! and it is thanks to Lenovo. I bought a laptop at PC CURRYS, and in resume… the problem was that the storage sinks with 1 single update from windows. I spent 5 hours with Microsoft (amazing technical support service) and they connect remotely to my laptop and checked everything… at least the problem was the laptop it self. I contacted the first time with Lenovo and the first issue is how to send me an email, it doesn’t matter how I spell it, how many times I say it… always wrote the wrong address… so I started to call them to give them the right email address. The second person who attend my call, was rude and hung up, the third almost shout me and finally the forth had compassion and did her job. well.. finally they sent me some instruction to try to fix what they saw was a real issue, and was impossible… they ask me to send the laptop to repair, force me to wrap it in minimum 4 layers of bubble wrap.. I did it.. and send it to Germany. For a reason that I do not know… the laptop appears in Czech Republic, and after about 23 days, sent me an email saying that the laptop has been repaired. the report was… system failure because hardware, so it is supposed the laptop was erased and reinstalled everything… I opened the laptop and was the same issue, with even more rubbish apps, and came without a single layer of bubble wrap. Fine… I contacted the IT Service and we shared about 7 emails, the conclusion: “Your laptop has been fix it, there is no issue to repair but if you want, I can offer you to send it again to repair”… what???????? in conclusion… what they are doing now is ignore all my emails trying to find a solution and let the warranty expires so I will have to eat this useless rubbish. I was a regular customer of Lenovo… NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE!!!!
On 14th of October 2020 I contacted Lenovo to notify that my laptop has issues regarding the way it functioned. Lenovo sent me return labels and informed me to package the laptop in its original box alongside the charger, and mentioned that it will be collected from my address in a couple of days, however the laptop was not collected and I dropped it off at the courier myself. After 10 days I was notified by email that the device has been logged for repair. There was no further communication from Lenovo, apart from me calling myself asking for the updates regarding my laptop. After four weeks I received an email informing me that my device is still being repaired but device was not received until the following week but unfortunately only received a laptop without the charger and missing its original box and manuals, as well being packed in a scruffy broken packaging.Â
I called Lenovo and highlighted this issue and was informed that the charger should be sent to me in the next couple of days, however this was not the case, I was regularly calling Lenovo for the charger and the box but was getting informed the same thing over and over again, with no charger or box being received. After multiple phone calls requesting for a charger, resulted in me finally receiving the charger afterb5 weeks
Laptop was charged and tested, but unfortunately the laptop continued to have issues, firstly with it switching on and then the mouse and touchpad gesture not working properly. I called Lenovo again and highlighted the issue and was advised that return labels will be sent to me and although the warranty has expired but because it was not repaired properly, so the laptop will be taken within the warranty. waited for a week but no return labels were received. I recalled Lenovo to ask for the labels and new advice was given to me, just like every other time that I rang Lenovo, and was instead asked to provide them with images of the errors, after this I received instructions via email, suggesting for actions to be taken on my laptop such as factory resetting the laptop, after following the instructions provided to me the laptop was turned on but touchpad issue persisted. Mentioned this to Lenovo, as was told to pay if I wanted my laptop fixed as it was no longer under warranty.Â
