I’ve bought a ideapad 720S in Bangkok in Dec 2018. At that time, seller said that this product come with warranty oversea. However, now I’m in Vietnam and its screen has problem but no warranty service in Vietnam. It’s very inconvenient.
So, can I send my laptop to Thailand without my presence for warranty service?
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE – Fortune Tower, Bangkok
I got a phone call from Lenovo to pick up my laptop yesterday evening. I picked it up today. When I turned on my laptop, it was very slow to boot up and a message came up on the screen which read ‘windows has not been activated.’ The engineer did not activate it for me . The staff did not apologise and told me to wait. 3 minutes later, she said the problem was fixed. I connect to the internet and found out that windows update was in progress. The engineer started updates but did not finish it. They should NOT phone me to pick up my laptop if they haven’t completed everything. I told her to update everything before returning my laptop. She replied ‘It’s quicker if you update it yourself at home.’ Staff need training to be service minded if they want customers to buy Lenovo products. Also, I cannot identify the engineer’s name because they did not type it into the form. I am attaching two pieces of evidence which you can download and see.
I have a warranty problem which has been input into the appropriate warranty update web page. However I get no reply from Lenovo.
I purchaeed a Tab 4 8 Plus tablet, on 16 July 2018, in Thailand from an online retailer.
The tablet was booted and registered on the same day so Lenovo will have a full record of the tablet registration.
The tablet was returned for repair 6 weeks later.
I am now informed that the warranty has expired.
Can someone give me an explanation as the product should have a 1 year warranty.
As a global brand I don’t think it is unreasonable for Lenovo to consider and resolve the irregularity.
Did they get back to you ? I took my laptop for repair a couple of weeks ago . Came back with a new motherboard but they didn’t install the correct driver or update windows . Computer kept crashing . I took it back to them and still no progress
You do not seem to have any email support in English for customers residing in Thailand. Please ramp up your international multilingual support presence if you intend to be the global brand you claim you are. Thanks
I agree. Also it took me two visits to get my laptop repaired . First time they changed my main board . Kept crashing . Second visit 3 days later they changed my SSD drive . They won’t back up my data for me . I have to go there and back it up myself . Poor training . Shame on Lenovo
None of the numbers above actually work. Thats embarrassing for Lenovo but inconvenient for me.
Got people that speak/understand English? I have problem with my computer that is still under warranty. I have questions about backups and also about internal cleaning. Also Can I use an upgrade of RAM and how will it affect/effect my computer? Your Basic support location? Bought it at Office Depot in America. Thanks Mr. John
